"Clean up here and then meet me in my room. I have some tasks for you to complete."
And with that I sped out of the dining room to my own room.
I lay on my bed sprawled out for about ten minutes thinking about Claire. What could I make her do this time? As I contemplated this there was a hard abrupt knock at the door. I was expecting Claire, but when I opened the door Daniels busted in.
"What?!" I said in a slightly annoyed tone.
He held a playful look as he crossed his arms.
"Chill out. I was just coming to see if you wanted to get something to eat later?"
I had way too much stuff going on inside my head to be even concerned about dinner. I ran my fingers through my hair. Dammit no one could make me feel so flustered! Maybe dinner could help me relax? I shook the thought away. Stupid Claire would definitely try to escape as soon as I left and it's not like Mitri would stop her. Knowing him, he would would probably cheer her on! While I was deep in thought Daniels interrupted.
"Something wrong with having dinner?" He snickered, " Or is there someth9ing on your mind? Better yet...someone?"
I ferociously snapped my head at him. Now I wanted to snap his neck too. He was reading my mind and in my opinion, now was not the time. I sighed in defeat because I could slit my best friend's throat. That wouldn't be too nice.
"It's not like that! Claire just makes me so damn confused! I never have been, not like this anyway. She makes me feel...I don't know strange I guess. I can't really explain it."
For a split moment, Daniels eyes widened. He quickly shut the door locking it and replaced his expression with a soft smile.
"You don't think she's-"
I cut him off angrily. I didn't need to hear it. Stuff like that only happened in legends and movies.
"How the hell do you come up with a crazy idea like that?! Even if it was true I would never accept it Scott!"
Even though Daniels was pissed because I used his first name he was still cracking up with that annoying laugh of his. I guess this was what best friends were for. I was so happy that he found himself annoying to other hilarious!
"It wouldn't matter. You would have to accept it. It's nature. Why don't you test it tonight and we can-"
He stopped right there as there was a knock at the door. This time I knew it was Claire because of that odd, but sweet and alluring smell.
*Daniel's PoV*
After breakfast as I walked to my room I thought about what I could do later for entertainment. I didn't feel like sitting around again on a Friday night when I could be partying. When I walked inside my room Willow was stretched over my bed making the bed. She hadn't heard me come in. From where I was standing, I had a terrific view of her ass. I wished I could stay there forever staring at her, but that would be rude. I was a gentleman so I cleared my throat. When I did Willow jumped forty feet off the ground.
"Oh I'm sorry Master Daniels. i didn't know you would be here so quickly. If I did I would have made your bed and ironed your clothes sooner and-"
I walked over and grabbed her hand. She was as red as a tomato. I never liked when she called me Master. For starters, I just didn't like that word. I never have and never will. Secondly, I wasn't of Royal blood like Damien or Mitri. I was just a childhood friend. And lastly, the word Master made me feel like I was better than humans when I really wasn't. Now being in the same room with Willow I just considered ourselves as a man and woman. Not a vampire and a slave.
