When I awoke, I found myself lying on a soft, warm bed. The room was modest but comforting, and the gentle crackling of a fireplace filled the air. My eyes scanned the surroundings until it landed on a man, sitting by my bedside, concern etched in his features.

"You're awake," he said softly, a glimmer of relief in his eyes. "You had me worried."

I tried to speak, but my voice came out weak and hoarse. He rushed to my side, helping me sit up as he offered me a glass of water. Slowly, I sipped on it, feeling its soothing effect on my parched throat.

"You saved me," I finally managed to croak out, my voice barely above a whisper.

He nodded, a humble smile gracing his lips. "It was the least I could do. No one deserves to suffer like that."

Tears welled up in my eyes as gratitude overwhelmed me. I had escaped the clutches of my kidnapper, but it was this man who saved me, who had shown me kindness and compassion when I needed it most. From that moment on, I knew I would forever be indebted to him.

"What's your name?" It hadn't across my mind till now. My savior without a name.

"Bogum"

He extended his generosity even further. He provided me with clean clothes, food, and a warm place to rest. Despite my weary state, curiosity and gratitude burned within me, and I eagerly accepted his offer to show me around the village, to introduce me to the people who had unknowingly become a glimmer of hope in my life.

As we wandered through the quaint streets, the villagers greeted Bogum with warm smiles and genuine affection. Each interaction painted a vivid picture of a tight-knit community, a place where compassion and unity thrived. Bogum introduced me as a survivor, and though my words were few, the gratitude in my eyes spoke volumes.

I discovered the hidden beauty of the village. He led me through vibrant meadows, serene lakes, and ancient forests, allowing me to find solace in nature's embrace. His infectious laughter and genuine joy in sharing his village filled my heart with newfound hope and happiness.

As we sat on the bench, gazing at the rice field I know it's time for me to tell him what happened.

"Bogum," I began, my voice barely above a whisper. "I... I need to tell you what happened."

He nodded, his concerned eyes fixed on me. "Take your time, Haejin. I'm here to listen."

I took another deep breath, my heart pounding in her chest. "You see, Bogum, there's this man... he's been stalking me for a while now. I've seen him lurking around my house, following me everywhere I go."

Bogum's eyes widened in realization, and he frowned deeply, anger flashing across his face. "That's despicable. How did you end up being kidnapped by him?"

I gave a shaky sigh, my voice barely audible. "I was visiting my boyfriend at his workplace. But before I could I meet him, the stalker found me and dragged me into his van"

Tears welled up in my eyes as memories of the traumatic experience flooded back. Bogum reached out, placing a comforting hand on my shoulder.

"I'm so sorry, Haejin. That must have been terrifying. How did you manage to escape?" he asked gently.

"When he was distracted by his phone, I run out of the place," I replied, my voice quivering. "I was running to the forest and when I saw the cliff it was either to jump or be caught again."

Bogum's grip tightened on my shoulder, his eyes filled with determination. "I'm glad I was there to help you, Haejin. No one should have to endure such a terrible ordeal."

I nodded, wiping away a tear that had escaped down my cheek. "Thank you, Bogum. Thank you for saving me. I don't know what I would have done without you."

Bogum offered a gentle smile, his kindness shining through. "You don't have to thank me, Haejin. It's what any decent person would do. Just know that you're safe now, and I'll make sure you stay safe."

My voice still trembling, I whispered gratefully, "Thank you for giving me a second chance in life"
