Alayna [29] had Eli in 2017. She met Imani at a spoken poetry reading in Portland, Oregon. They became really close very quickly and began dating in 2018. When Imani was finished with her doctorate, they moved to Westwood, a small suburban town outside of Imani's home city. Alayna is a freelancer artist and writer and is very flexible. She homeschools Eli, focusing on Montessori techniques (hands on, like gardening).
