Luigi has successfully captured king boo and is now taking Mario out of his painting prison.

We see Luigi inside of a huanted castle. Waiting for his brother to arrive he makes a promise to Mario.
Luigi: Mario, wherever you are, I promise that even after this adventure is done I'll help you for as long as I can and that I'll always be there when you need me.
In smg4 Mario saw.
Mario: don't worry Luigi I'll get us out of here!
Luigi: .......Mario.
Mario: yes?
Luigi: I'm going to push the button.
Mario: what! No I'll get us both out of here.
Luigi: it's okay Mario, as long as you get to live.
Mario: LUIGI wait!
Luigi: good bye Mario. *pushes the button*
Mario: no....Luigi....
Luigi: huh it's just a bunch of warm Kool-aid.

In smg4 my roommate Mario.
Smg4 has just left the brothers house in a new rv gifted to him by Mario, we see the brothers waving goodbye to 4 and Mario decided to speak.
Mario: say Luigi...
Luigi: yes Mario?
Mario: thank you for always cleaning up and looking after Mario at home.
Luigi: th-that's okay Mario!
The two then hug showing us that their brotherly bond will last forever.....
At least that's what they thought.
Present day....
Mario: LUIGI! *picks him up and hugs the upper part of his body, being careful not to touch the dent in his chest, while kneeling down, crying his eyes out* its a going to be okay, you'll be okay.......
