The Underwater Prison

Start from the beginning

Blackbeard leads the way, ignoring everything around him. He doesn't care that they are clearly in a predicament and can't spare the men to deal with im right now. He's going to walk around like he owns the place and does whatever he wants. All the while Burgess has a hold on my arm to keep me going forward with everyone.

"W-wait! Please!" a prison guard shouts. He's standing in front of a group of men standing outside on the dock. "We haven't requested reinforcements! We have an emergency right now! We can't be responsible for this! We'll request confirmation from Headquarters right away!"

"I don't care," Blackbeard says, continuing on pass them. "Aren't we supposed to be on the same team?"

"But it is strictly forbidden for any pirate to go near the prison!"

It happens in the blink of an eye as pools of darkness open up beneath all the Marines and sucks them down into the nothingness. This is the Devil Fruit that Blackbeard was after. The reason that he killed another man that was meant to be his brother. The ability to use darkness on a whim.

"It's alright," Blackbeard evilly grins as he holds out his hand. "I'm with the Government now."

Burgess chuckles, "What a gloomy place!"

"What the hell is going on here?" I mumble.

All Blackbeard can do is laugh as we keep heading for the entrance.

"Wait! All of you!" another guard, who wasn't swallowed up in the darkness, shouts.

"Liberation!" Blackbeard shouts as he waves his hand back to send wooden rubble flying out of the darkness that he made appear. But it's not just the remains of a ship that come flooding out. The men that were consumed earlier are also among the rubble.

"Hang in there!" a guard yells.

"These are the guards that disappeared earlier!" another man exclaims.

It doesn't take much longer for us to make it through the front entrance, and I'm not surprised that we are met with more guards that don't hesitate to fire on us. I can hear them shouting out orders on who to target, and the confusion of the girl that they don't recognize who might be innocent in all this. Everyone except for Blackbeard and myself are fighting back against the guards trying to kill them.

"Raise the bridge!" someone orders as the drawbridge we're walking towards is raised. "Don't let 'em get across!"

"There are only five of them!" another man shouts. "They have a girl held prisoner! Stop the Blackbeard Pirates and rescue the girl!"

I softly smile, knowing that I'll let these people believe I'm not a wanted pirate for as long as I can if it means they'll get me away from these disgusting men.

There are guards flying all around us from Blackbeard's men fighting against them.

"Fire!" a guard orders. "There's no longer any doubt! Blackbeard and his men have betrayed us! And they've brought an innocent girl into this horrible place!"

"Does that surprise you?" a deep voice cuts through the chaos as a man who looks like he could be in charge here steps up behind the men fighting back at us. He has a cigar clenched between his teeth, and a large sword at his side. "What do you expect from pirates?"

"H-head Jailer Shiryu!" some men exclaim.

"Five of them, eh? Plus a poor girl dragged in against her will?"
