Marina walks into the kitchen to find donte sitting at the table, head in hands. "Donte, are you sure your ok?" Donte just shakes his head to say yes
For context, since we found out about chlo and Brett chlo ran away and hasn't been seen for weeks, it's really hit donte hard which has been worrying Marina as she doesn't want to see donte like this.
Donte was going around town to put missing person posters up for chlo so you decided to drag him out the house early and you went to help him for an hour
"You should be in school Marina" "But donte I want to help , I'll just tell mr Lawson I've been to the dentist or something" "No just go to school Marina" Donte snapped You were taken aback at how Donte reacted but you know how bad he's feeling at the moment so you just accepted defeat "Fine I'll go to school" You turned on your heals and headed toward the direction of school. You walked until you couldn't see Donte anymore and decided you couldn't be bothered so you put your headphones in and took the long route to school.
This route takes an extra 10 minutes to get to the school from my house so the extra 20 minutes it took from town made me get to school near the end Of lesson 2 so you went to sneak through the door when a woman's voice echoed through your ears "Umm why are you here so late?" You turned your head to see a woman you'd never seen before, she was nicely dressed with a suit and had straight brown hair. "You're not a teacher here?" She scoffed "I think you might be mistaken, I'm the new head of Waterloo road , Mrs Mason" Your heart stopped for a second.....shit I can't get in trouble right now. "Now I think you were supposed to tell me why your here so late" You said confidently "Oh I was at a dentist appointment miss, my dad said he told school? He could've forgotten though, he's like that" "Very well, may I take your name though so I can check if your dad emailed " "Umm.. Marina Charles miss" "Ok just go to the hall or something the bells gonna go now so no point going to lesson" she smiled You smiled back and started walking to the tree you usually sit under at the back of playground. You got bored waiting for the bell so you decided to read as you weirdly started enjoying reading recently. The book:

A few pages in and the bell went but you continued reading as you had gotten to when Carrie gets to the prom , all of a sudden the book almost levitated out you hand and into boltons "Oi smilie give it back" "I didn't know you read" Bolton laughs You jump up and go to grab the book but Bolton jokingly pulls it up into the air so it's above your head , you were annoyed so you slapped his chest to make him drop the book "Ow what was that for?" Bolton cried as the book fell back into your hands You sat back down and placed the book back in your bag. Bolton sat next to you "Are you gonna answer me?" "Sorry I was just at a good bit and now you've lost my page" "What was so interesting about a book?" "Uhh carries just arrived to the prom and Chris is gonna pour the pigs blood over her head" "Ohh your reading Carrie" "You've read Stephen king?" You said shocked "Nahh my mum made me watch it with her once" "Ohhh I love it" From the corner of your eye you just saw Bolton smile "How come you weren't in this morning?" Bolton asked "Oh I went to help donte with the posters for chlo but after a while he forced me to come here" "Ohh" It fell silent for a while
"By the way Marina I'm sorry for the other day , you know on the hill, I didn't mean to kiss you or nothing" Bolton exclaimed awkwardly "It's fine Bolton...it was nice anyway" Although you can't see it that well you can see a slight pink tone appear across his cheeks, You both sit in silence for a few minutes until Bolton says "Would you wanna go out again..after school?" You felt your cheeks start to burn "Umm I mean I have to go home first see donte but I could come out after" " yeah that's fine,just meet me by the park when your ready" "Ok" The bell rings " I better get to tutor" You quickly hurry off to tutor before Bolton can say another word When you got there you realised how rude you'd been to Bolton you were just scared for him to see how excited you were about hanging out with him. -after school- Your at home and your getting changed to meet Bolton, you thought you might aswell seeing as your at home already The outfit:

You say bye to donte and you head off to meet Bolton, as you get to the park you see him on a swing with his back turned so you creep up behind him and shout "BOO" Bolton jumped off the swing and screamed slightly "What the fuck man..." You hysterically laugh and once you catch your breath you say "I had to get you back for losing my book page" Bolton laughed slightly but was still annoyed "If it makes you feel better Bolton you don't scream like a little girl" "Ha ha ha" Bolton says sarcastically He then proceeds to grab you by the arm and drag you through the forest back to the hill and you both sat under the tree You sit there and talk for half hour then- "Can I talk to you for a sec Marina.. like seriously" You get concerned "Yeah yeah sure" you look at him intensely "So you know we've been hanging out for a while and like I really enjoy spending time with you and that and this is gonna sound really cheesy but I was wandering if maybe you'd wanna go out one night....with me" Bolton spoke quickly and looked away Your heart started pounding, you felt your cheeks burning, you'd never felt like this before "Like a date" you smiled It was silent for a minute "I'd really like that Bolton" Bolton shot his head to you "Really?" He said nervously "Yes" you laughed You then saw him lean in towards you but this time it was a hug , you both sat there for a moment You pulled away and smiled at him, He smiled back You spent another few hours talking and messing about until you started walking home. It was dark so Bolton insisted on walking you home "What about you though? You'll have to walk all the way from mine back to yours alone?" "It don't matter reena , I'll be fine" "Are you sure?" "Yeah I'm sure" he returned As much as you felt bad because he was gonna have to walk an extra 15 minutes to get home, it was nice that he was walking you home, you felt safe. You both got to your door "I'll see you tomorrow then" you smiled "Yeah" he said and he went to kiss your cheek and hug you "Goodnight reena"
