Yet again, I continued to walk around and searched for any further clues, as I had nothing else to be doing. Additionally, I still had not made up with Colleen after what happened, so I had to find her, too. I searched every nook and cranny until, what felt like some miraculous occurance, I found her huddled by a corner in the game room.

I approached her and sat down beside her. I took a deep breath before talking to her. "Colleen...?". She slowly looked up at me, then made a disgusted face. "What do you want?", she replied reluctantly. 'This will be harder than I thought...'.

"Colleen... I'm... sorry about what I said that time", I replied, trying to seem apologetic even though I was not. Colleen looked away from me, then shook her head. "You know, Veronica... It may be true that I'm.. not the brightest. But... I only 'lost' my clown ability due to you", she replied. As much as I wanted to deny her statement, I knew she was right. Any time that she would almost get voted out, I could stop it from happening, stop her victory.

Eventually, I came up with a deal. It was not beneficial to me, infact, it was more of a dangerous deal, but if I wanted to make up with Colleen and keep up my reputation, I had no other choice.

"Tell you what, Colleen. Let's make a deal". I replied hesitantly.

Colleen looked at me again, waiting for me to tell her what the deal was. "Let's... form an alliance. We'll stay together every night to be safe from the murderer, and in return, if you ever manage to trick our friends, I won't tell them that you're the clown".

Colleen raised her eyebrow. "How would I know that you won't tell them at the last second?".

Colleen was hesitant.
And, I don't blame her, per say.
She had the right to be suspicious.
After all, I did offend her, even if the slightest.

I thought for a moment on how I could convince her, but then she started to speak again.

"And besides... You could be the murderer, for all I know".

I was stunned. Of course, she had the right to suspect me, but it was completely unexpected to me. I had a vital role, and if I revealed it, I may be in trouble. After all, there may be anyone watching us right now, like the scout.

Eventually, I decided to get up and leave. In the end, my main objective was to apologise to Colleen, which was already done, so I decided not to waste any more time. I got up and dusted off my clothing.
"Well, if you're so suspicious... I guess I'll leave you alone for now".

I expected Colleen to stop me, like a fictional story, but this was reality. Sentimental crap like that wouldn't happen here. She did tell me, "okay, I'll see you around, Veronica", in a friendly tone. That made it clear that she'd forgiven me, but that didn't exactly mean she trusted me.

However, as long as she'd not had any hatred towards me, I should be safe. I stepped out of the game room and headed out.

Then, I just walked for a bit.
Aimlessly, yet again.
That is, until I ran into that disgusting fish creature again.

"Veronica...", it muttered, in a deeply irritating voice which made my ears bleed. I looked at him, completely uninterested in talking with him.

"I need to speak with you. Did Rosalie ask you your role before she died?".

I was stunned. The fish actually said something useful.

"She did", I replied.
"Interesting... She did the same for me. I heard that Alicia asked Jamila and Kiryomi what their roles were, too. What were they up to?".

I was actually completely stunned. I didn't think Chlorine would be of any use, but he's doing his own investigation, trying to help his "friends"...

What a joke.
