YOUTH'S EMBRACE

In youth's embrace, yet burdened by years,
A paradox of time, my soul appears.
I've journeyed far, seen worlds unfold,
Yet in my heart, a story untold.

The weight of life, a heavy cloak I wear,
As if I've aged beyond my youthful stare.
But deep within, a longing to be free,
To shed this skin, to find serenity.

The world's demands, they pull me down,
Yet dreams of youth, they still abound.
I yearn for rest, for solace, and for peace,
To find release from life's relentless lease.

So let me surrender to despair,
Don't want to breathe, dream, or care.
For though I've lived, and carried the weight,
There's still no future, no dawn, no fate.

In youth's embrace, I'll find my way,
To get one last peaceful rest.
