"You ready for this?" Madelyn asks Jackson as she walks into the scan room
"Yeah" he replies "Did this case a year ago"
"Looks amazing" Madelyn says when Jackson shows the images of his previous patient
"And we're doing something like this again today?" Ben asks
"Yeah" Madelyn replies "April's bringing in a kid from Jordan with Ollier's disease. You can see, these are the enchondromas. Cartilaginous tumors" she says pointing at the scan
"They... they grow from the growth plates, right?" Ben asks
Jackson nods "Exactly. Which is why you're gonna want to do a wide local excision, expose the bone so I can get in there and reconstruct the hand..."
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. I will? I'll dissect the tumors?" Ben asks
Jackson looks over at Madelyn "I thought so. If Dr. Shepherd is okay with that?"
"That's fine by me" Madelyn replies
"If you're up for it of course" Jackson says
"Hell yes, I am" Ben replies excitedly
"Hey. Are you ready? They're on their way up" April says walking in
"Uh, why don't we head up to Peds, help him get settled?" Jackson says to Ben
When they both leave April walks over to the brunette and says "Thank you for doing this"
"Listen, it's a great case. And it's just a resection. And Jackson is gonna be a big help" Madelyn replies
April slowly nods "He's such a sweet kid. He's an amazing kid. He's been through hell in Jordan, and... and he just never gives up. Since he lost his family, he's been living at the hospital, and we just... we give him all these odd jobs to do and..."
"April, you can stop selling him. Okay?" Madelyn says looking over at the redhead "It's happening. We are doing it, so..."
"Good. Just... I just... Thanks" April says
"It's my pleasure. Let's go see him" Madelyn says

As April and Madelyn walk in they overhear Kamal telling Jackson about his journey here "I rode on a bus, a train, a plane, three cars, and a helicopter"
"That sounds awesome" Jackson replies
"Um, Kamal, I want you to meet Dr. Shepherd" April introduces "She will be working with Dr. Avery on your operation"
"Are you her?" the boy asks eagerly
"Who?" Madelyn replies curiously
