"Could...I borrow your notes?" Enid asked, seeing it caught the girl's attention.

"Reason?" "I'm dysgraphic and I have trouble reading after myself," Enid said. "And these last two lessons I missed because of the vol-"

She felt something metal and cold in her hands. Looking down, she saw a tablet with opened notes.

"Bring it back at least in the morning," Wednesday said, and turned around, back to her typewriter.

Enid nodded, and walked out of the room, closing the door. She made her way back into the room that belonged to her and threw herself on her bed.

The notes were written as if they were made by a computer. And she knew that if she actually learned this, she would pass the exam.

It was already almost December, and Enid wasn't paying attention to the school events or events at all. She needed to pass the exams. Which is why she was surprised to see an announcement in the school hallway

'School Prom on 23rd!'

The school prom was suspended for three years already because everyone got some kind of illness on the last one, so this was a surprise.

School prom was the only event that caught the eyes of everyone in the school because it meant that for one whole night, there would be music, fun, and drinks for free and for everyone.

However, she couldn't go. Firstly, since the last prom dance was 3 years ago, her dress was kind of smaller for her, and it was in the closet...at her parent's house.

Secondly, she always attended it with her friend, Yoko. They weren't bringing any dates, so they went together as friends, and it was always better than going alone or not at all.

And thirdly...she really needed to study, because she wanted to make a proposition to the principal about giving her a chance to pass the final exams sooner and leave the school.

But her thoughts were all gone when she heard a light knock on the door. Looking around her desk, she didn't see Wednesday's tablet, meaning it couldn't be Wednesday. Maybe it was a teacher?

She stood up, took down her headphones, and walked to the door. Opening it, she noticed it was indeed the girl that she mentioned.

However, this time she wasn't coming to take her stuff back...or at least not with a rose.

"Hi?" Enid said, noticing the rose in her hands. Wednesday looked scared as if she was regretting something.

"I...I wanted to ask you something." Wednesday began.

"Mhm?" "Would you be my...prom date?" Wednesday said, looking shyly at Enid and handing her the rose.

She and Wednesday weren't the best of friends, but she would be lying if they weren't friends. For example, Wednesday not only allowed Enid to study from her notes, but she also helped Enid understand some stuff. One time when their class went to the mountains and were required to sleep in tents, the two girls shared a tent.

So yes, it was surprising to hear these words coming out of Wednesday, but they were welcomed.

"Gladly," Enid said, accepting the rose.

Because even if she tried to resist her feelings, her liking towards the girl was growing stronger and stronger every day she saw her.

"Really?" "Yeah, why not?" Enid said. "I will survive not studying for a night."
