Wednesday's soft side

After all classes, it was time to head back to the dorms, till dinner came. Enid was walking along with Yoko around the school, talking about something. She was always telling Yoko how was school, what she will be doing, and more.

Although Yoko hit on another topic; her roommate.

"And what about Wednesday? She seemed kinda off today." Yoko asked, to which Enid actually laughed.

"Yeah, she is like this for a while," Enid said. "But, you know her, I ask her about that, and she is like 'no, I am alright' and threatens me."

Suddenly, the mentioned girl passed them, heading straight towards the dorms, not like Enid and Yoko, who actually changed their minds, and went to join the rest of their group in the middle of school.

"She might have heard you, Enid," Yoko said. "But it's hard to break her cold stone heart."

"Don't talk about her like that!" Enid said angrily, stopping in her steps. They were close to their group already, so they heard Enid.

"Enid, you of all should know how Wednesday is to anyone. She always threatens someone, if she is not on her way to kill someone already." Yoko said, walking past Enid, and joining the group. Enid looked at them, only seeing Ajax stepping out and coming to Enid.

"You won't give her a single chance! She tries so hard to be better!" "Enid, calm down," Ajax said, rubbing her shoulder.

"How can I calm down?" Enid said, getting his hand off her shoulder. "Literally even the quiet and murderous Addams is better to talk to than to you all!" 

And with that last word, she gave a slight death glare on everyone, Ajax included, and began walking to her dorm.

For some reason, she felt angry at them, despite her being one of the calmest people in the whole school. She couldn't stand them all despising Wednesday, knowing Wednesday wasn't THAT bad.

Enid woke up in a bright room. It was a weekday, meaning they had two free days. She knew it was not morning anymore, so normally she sat up on her bed and stretched her arms. She then opened her eyes, already seeing Thing looking at her from her nightstand.

"Good morning Thin-" She paused as she looked at Wednesday's side. She was already changed into something other than what she wore to bed and was sitting on a chair, looking at Enid.

"Good morning Wends," Enid said. "Something happened?"

"Was just waiting for you to wake up," Wednesday said and turned on her chair to face her typewriter. 

This was typical for Wednesday; not greeting back to Enid when she greets her.

"How long have you been waiting?" "2 hours," Wednesday said, typing onto the typewriter.

She has waited for me to wake up till she started writing? Now that confused Enid, knowing she wasn't exactly an affectionate person, although Wednesday seemed to be open more than to anyone, even if it was just a little. Wednesday allowed certain things, like a quick hug, or painting her nails after they were scratched. For Enid, it was enough, and she didn't even bother seeking more.

Enid was taking out her key to the dorm but then noticed a slight crack, indicating it was unlocked, and someone was inside for sure. Enid opened the door and already saw her side of the room. But as she got inside, and looked at Wednesday's side, she almost died of the shock.

It was Wednesday, writing her novel again, but she wore the gift Enid gave her a few weeks after they became roommates. Wednesday refused to wear it, seeing it was covered in all kinds of vibrant colors.
