Enid looked out of the Uber, seeing the scary gates open. She became even more scared when she spotted gargoyles on statues around the road.

"Don't worry Enid, you will love this school!" Her mother said, sitting next to her. "And it will hopefully make you normal!"

Yeah, like I am not normal. "Mhm," Enid replied. The Uber came to a stop as they reached the school.

Nevermore Boarding School for the public, a school for outcasts for inside talks.

Enid didn't like it, as she had always been on good terms with the few people she talked to back in San Francisco. But, since she wasn't reaching the line her mother set for her, which is becoming a real werewolf and wolfing out, this had to be made.

Enid got out of the car, seeing a tall woman standing and smiling at her.

"Hello, you must be Enid." She said, Enid, nodding.

"I'm principal Weems. I've come to personally greet you and walk you to your new dorm." The principal said. "Of course before we need to sign some documents with your mother. Follow me."

Enid followed Weems, not caring if her mother was coming too or not. They walked past some kind of garden in the middle of the building, and she spotted some people jumping on the tables like crazy. Werewolves.

"I wanted you to meet your roommate, but I guess she isn't here right now," Weems said.

A roommate? "Since you'll be spending time here for the semester, and since it would be really expensive to make rooms for everyone, not to mention ruining this decor, it is like this," Weems explained. "But trust me, a lot of people that come here are afraid, but sometimes the friendships they make are for life."

Enid just nodded her head, seeing so many people around her. Finally, they arrived in her office, as Weems sat down.

"So, your dorm mom will meet you in the dorm later today, explaining a few rules and getting to know you, but I will start with the basics." Weems began, as it made Enid gulp.

"Nevermore is specialized in teaching outcasts to learn more about what they are themselves, and help them control it." She said.

"You being a werewolf will allow you to learn how to control your transforming, cycles, desire for meat, and so on," Weems explained.

Thank god I have nothing of these. "Also, you can pick some other subjects that are optional for you, plus some off-school activities. We even offer part-time jobs in Jericho." Weems finished.

"Great, I'll think about the subjects more." "Wonderful, let's go meet your roommate and your dorm," Weems said, and stood up, followed by Enid and her mother, who has been awfully quiet.

As they walked up the last stairs, Enid saw a door, the only one on that floor. Weems knocked on the door and opened it. Weems stepped in first, followed by Enid.

At first, she saw an empty bed, thinking it is hers. But then, she saw a girl, walking towards them.

"Enid, this is your roomma-" Weems said, as the girl stopped in front of her.

"I'm Wednesday, nice to meet you." She said, extending her hand to shake. Enid didn't move, rubbing her arm as if she was nervous.

"Are you more of a hugger?" Her voice seemed to calm down, as Enid slightly nodded. Wednesday walked closer to her, and wrapped her in a embrace. Enid smiled, and hugged her too, very tightly.

"Wednesday, could you go with Enid so she can retrieve her schedule and uniform?" Weems said, making them pull away.

"Of course." The coldness in her voice was back, as she walked out of the dorm, Enid following her.

"Weems is a pain in the ass, so don't get too used to her being nice," Wednesday said, again calmly.

"And you?" "I have some bad habits too," Wednesday said. Enid didn't even notice that Wednesday was holding her hand as they walked down the staircase. Enid interviewed their fingers together and held her hand too.

"I'm guessing you are a werewolf." "The principal hasn't told you?" Enid asked, looking confused.

"She only told me I am getting a roommate," Wednesday said. "But I'm judging by the firm grip on my hand. Not everyone can do that."

"And you are?" "Many things were pointed out, in short, nothing good," Wednesday said, making Enid chuckle. "But I am supposed to be raven."

They made their way to the entrance, where the person behind a counter already had a uniform, a piece of paper, and some books ready. Enid just signed the paper saying she acquired it, and Wednesday grabbed her other things.

"You should go and change into it, the bathroom is right there." Wednesday pointed at a door and followed Enid as the blonde girl stepped inside the bathroom. After a while, she stepped out, having her blue uniform on her.

"Why do you have a black one tho?" "Tortured the principal, so it was a payment for me to stop." Wednesday calmly replied, and extended her arm again for Enid to latch on, which she did.

Surprisingly, Wednesday seemed scary, as Enid saw a knife sticking out of her platform boots. But she was nothing but nice to Enid. More so, Enid for some reason began liking her.

They arrived back at their dorm, which was already empty, only Enid's things were sitting on the floor. Wednesday offered to help her unpack and sort things out.

But then, something else jumped up on the suitcase, scaring the inner werewolf out of Enid. She jumped towards Wednesday, who caught her in bridal style.

"Thing, once more and you lose a finger," Wednesday ordered coldly, and carefully placed Enid down on the floor.

"W-What is t-that?" Enid stuttered, pointing at the hand.

"Technically my family member, Thing. Thing, meet Enid, my roommate." Wednesday said, as the hand waved at Enid, and offered her a handshake. Enid nervously took his hand and shook it slightly harder, only to make Thing lose his grip and fly to the other side of the room.

"He will love you, don't worry," Wednesday said, making her smile.
