Okay, Wednesday, calm down, nothing to cry about. Wednesday told herself, as she saw in front of her her crush kissing someone.
It was Enid Sinclair and Ajax Petropolus, sharing a kiss with each other.
The most killing part in this?
Wednesday was standing outside, rain heavily falling on her, and she was holding a rose.
She wanted to tell Enid how she feels, but now it all faded, as she instantly saw she had no chance.
I was stupid to think that someone gorgeous would like me even the slightest bit. Wednesday thought, not knowing if it were tears or raindrops falling on her cheeks. She slowly walked back inside the school, and slowly walked towards her room.
She was met by some of Enid's friends, as they were waiting for something. So Wednesday, not wanting to share anything about herself, said it.
"If you are looking for her, she is kissing Ajax down."
She hid her cries while talking really well, and no one noticed. Although she noticed the sudden change in their expressions, in other words, they were confused. Wednesday didn't want to talk to them, so she continued to walk to their dorm, the rose falling out of her hand.
What's the point anyway? She thought, unlocking the door. She instantly was greeted by Thing, having two towels ready as he knew about the rain outside. Wednesday grabbed one of it, and covered herself in it.
'Where is Enid?' Thing signed, knowing that she should've come back WITH Wednesday.
"Smooching with that Petropolus guy," Wednesday said, sitting down on her own bed. She let out a few tears, knowing no one will judge her, or ask questions. And she didn't care about Thing now.
"I knew it was a bad idea," Wednesday said and wiped off her tears. "Now I only know how a broken person feels."
'But I thought...' "Thing, I did think too. I thought Enid did like me, but no. I am just bad at understanding emotions." Wednesday interrupted. "Maybe she just treats me as her friend, and nothing else."
Thing crawled into her lap, as Wednesday cried more and more. The image she had in her mind was slowly killing her from the inside. She really had feelings for her roommate, and she would in no way express them now.
All that mattered for Wednesday was Enid's happiness, and seeing her happy with someone other than her was of course hurting for her, but she swore to herself at that moment she would accept everything as it is.
She didn't even notice how long and how much she was crying, but being alone, she didn't care. Thing still tried to comfort her, but he had no luck in it. Wednesday Addams was broken...because of love; something no one would ever think was possible.
As she reached for the bag under her bed, she started to replay moments with Enid, happy or sad, and Wednesday cherished each one. She opened the bag and grabbed a bottle full of vodka. She sighed, opened it, and chugged a large amount at once. She felt even more tears coming to her.
"Why? Am I not good enough?" She started telling herself, as she held the nearly empty bottle.
"Of course, I wasn't enough, I almost killed her," Wednesday said, and finished the bottle while grabbing a bottle of Bourbon. "Not once, but twice in the same day! That's the reason."
As Thing wanted to grab the bottle out of her hands, she yanked him onto the wall, along with the bottle. The bottle broke on top of Thing, covering him in the bronze whiskey.
"Why to live?" Wednesday asked herself, finding herself another bottle, now it was slivovitz. "I can just die, and probably help Enid to live better."
She opened the bottle, and drank the whole bottle, throwing it on the ground afterward. Glass shattered everywhere, but Wednesday did not care.
