"What are you doing?"
Wednesday said as she woke up to a sound of a vacuum cleaner running in their dorm. It would be a pleasant sound if it didn't wake her up.
"Good morning! Oh, and I'm cleaning slightly." Enid said, standing on her chair, and vacuuming the shelves.
"Have you thought that once in a while I want to sleep?" Wednesday replied, irritated.
"I've been vacuuming for an hour now, and you just woke up." Enid giggled as Wednesday stood up.
"Fair point."
Wednesday made her way to the bathroom, where she saw a few of Enid's very colorful pieces of textile.
But something caught her eye. Every piece had a piece of paper glued to it.
Out of curiosity, she grabbed one, and read the paper.
'Rainbow streaks with a purple beam going through'
Wednesday looked at the fabric, seeing that it matches the description. She threw it back into the basket and went to brush her teeth.
But she began thinking. Why would Enid have these very specific descriptions of the things? She isn't the type of person to wrongly describe colorful things.
Wednesday walked outside the bathroom, the sound of the vacuum cleaner still going through the room as Enid was now hanging off the shelf, trying to clean the cobwebs in the corners.
"When you fall, fall hard," Wednesday said, receiving a middle finger from Enid. But despite wanting to get away from Enid, she found herself very interested in the new discovery.
"Enid?" Wednesday said, turning off the vacuum.
"Yes?" "Could you come down?" The black-haired girl asked, as Enid jumped onto her bed and looked up.
"May I hug you?" Wednesday asked, receiving a nod from Enid.
"I still don't understand why you keep asking me every time," Enid said, slightly laughing as Wednesday carefully put her arms around her. "We both know you need it more than me."
"Shush," Wednesday said, and placed her head on Enid's shoulder, allowing her to see the piece of paper again.
'White hoodie with gradient blue streaks on the ends'
It was still true, but oddly specific description. It would make sense if she needed to organize very different clothes, but they were all almost the same.
Would she bring it out? Not now.
Wednesday let go of the smiling werewolf and walked back to her bed. She needed to talk about it with someone. Someone who knows Enid slightly better than her. She pulled her phone out of her bag and went to messages.
Wednesday
Hello Yoko, may I talk to you in private about one thing?

"Enid, I'll be going out for a while," Wednesday said and walked to the doors.
"Okay! Bye, be safe!" Enid shouted, looking at the ceiling, trying to find another cobweb.
Wednesday walked out and downstairs, towards Yoko's dorm, which was already unlocked. She knocked on it, and opened it, seeing Yoko sitting on a chair and drinking something.
"Morning, Wednesday," Yoko said. "So, what did you want to talk about?"
"Is there something wrong with Enid?" Wednesday asked, making Yoko laugh.
"Many things." "Serious," Wednesday ordered.
"Right," Yoko said and stopped laughing. "You want to talk about her colorblindness I suppose?"
"Yes. I found out she has labels on pretty much anything that has color and is described very specifically." Wednesday said.
"Enid had an eye operation since she couldn't see like a werewolf some years ago. But the doctor screwed it up, and said that she will lose vision of colors in a very near future." Yoko explained. "Therapy sessions helped her get over it."
That doesn't sound like Enid. Wednesday thought.
"Was it the only option?" "Yes, not even reversing the operation could make it come back," Yoko replied.
"Thank you, Yoko, for the explanation," Wednesday said, walking out of the door, and back towards their dorm, where the vacuum was still going. She needed to know about Enid's illness.
She needed to care for Enid. She needed to be her friend.
"Enid." She said, unplugging the vacuum from the outlet.
"Huh?" "I need to have a talk with you...in silence preferably," Wednesday said, motioning for Enid to come and sit by her. Enid did eventually come down, walked over to Wednesday's bed, and sat beside her.
"So, what did you want to talk about?" Enid asked, smiling as always.
"I haven't been a good friend to you, and I apologize for it," Wednesday said softly.
"Aww, no worries!" Enid cheerfully said. "You will be my best friend forever!"
"Enid, in the morning...I saw tags on the fabric." Wednesday said, and Enid's smile faded immediately.
"Oh, yeah. I should explain it to you." "I already figured out you are colorblind, but...Yoko told me there wasn't any other option to get your vision of color back." Wednesday said. "Why?"
"What why?" "It's a lie. The surgery to bring color vision back is here for decades." Wednesday explained.
"Wednesday, but...okay, I knew it was a lie." Enid quickly blurted out, Wednesday already seeing tears forming under her eyes.
"But it is expensive. And my...family...didn't want to pay it." Enid explained. "Even though there was the money."
"Why?" "You know my family...they only care about me being a werewolf." Enid nervously chuckled. "And since werewolves don't need color to hunt, they thought it was something I don't need."
Wednesday listened to Enid, and resisted to urge to cry...she hated Enid being treated badly. The most cheerful person she knew.
"Soo, I guess you now know the truth. And just to confirm that; yes, I'm colorblind."
Wednesday sweet AND supportive? Next part?
