Her return

I'm at tryouts avoiding the Boardriders for the reason I didn't want to answer the questions about why I haven't been around or why I haven't been at my house every time they stop by. I was just hanging out in my own area when I hear Poppy, Bodhi, and I all be called for over the loud speaker and I knew exactly who's voice it was.

Summer: Attention Poppy Tetanui Bodhi Mercer and KeKoa MacKeen your pizza is ready I repeat your pizza is ready and Marlon Sousa could you put on a shirt for once

Summer came out from behind the stand and I immediately ran to her along with Poppy.

Summer: I missed you guys

Marlon walked up and hugged her before he looked at me and pulled me in for a tight hug. Then Ari walked in from the pool after his practice.

Ari: Hey guys

KeKoa: Ari

Summer: Hi

Soon a blonde girl came running by and ran up and kissed Ari. When she turned towards us I know exactly who she was and where I knew her from but I didn't say anything instead I acted like we just met.

Ari: So what are you guys doing here

Summer: Well obviously you should know KeKoa is trying out but you didn't know that I am too though

Everyone went silent when she said they obviously knew when they didn't they had no clue I was going to be there today only Manu did.

Summer: Did I say something wrong

Poppy: *whispering to Summer* We'll catch you up later

Soon enough it was time fore out tryouts and as we were all catching waves Summer jumps in right in front of Wren and I. We had to clear the pool and when we finally cleared the pool we were aloud to leave. We all decided that we would meet up at Ari's place to get the results.

*Later that might*

Everyone is gathered around refreshing their phones multiple times until the results pop up. Everyone congratulated each other on getting in and I just smiled to myself before I walked off with Marlon closely following behind me.

Marlon: Hey you alright

We were stopped at the corner of the house everyone could hear and see us and we knew they could cause they went dead silent.

Marlon*whispering* You didn't get in did you or you don't feel welcome

I held up a 2 with my fringes before getting a huge smile on my face.

Marlon: No way

I nodded happily. He picked me up and spun me out of excitement.

Marlon: Holly crap you did it Koa you're in

I went over and hugged my mom and then Poppy and Marlon walked off. I stood there with a smile on my face happy that everyone when made it when Poppy returned.

Summer: I made it In on the team

KeKoa: Well this should be great

*The next day*

We're all training with Manu today since he didn't make it to be state coach which hurt all our feelings that he wasn't going to be our coach anymore. Then he took us to Anchor cove training center. Poppy, Bodhi, and I walked in with Summer and Ari behind us. As soon as Summer walked through the doors with Ari Wren ran over and hugged Summer which made Poppy and I look at each other weirdly. As we're all in a circle an older looking lady stand in the middle.

?: I'm Elo Radic your new coach

I look at Poppy and we both look weirded out.

Elo: Well congratulations on making it to the Victorian state team it's no small feat

As Elo went on and soon finished someone who I thought I would never see again since I moved walk in.

?: Ah sorry sis, did I miss your big inspirational speech

Elo: Burpees now all of you until I say stop

Summer: What ever happened to surfing's an individual sport

Elo: It's called accountability Torres burpees now

Soon we were doing airs. I didn't say anything about Wren doing bad but Summer did so she went and then I did. When I climbed down and walked over to Wren Summer walked off. Wren and I stood in inch apart close enough for the both of us to hear each other's whispers.

Wren*whispering* Nice to see you KeKoa

KeKoa: *whispering back* You too Wren

Wren: Where have you been the past 2 years

KeKoa: Here and then this year I was going back and forth to Queensland to see my niece and sister

Wren: Oh at least we resolved everything before you moved right

KeKoa: Right but so help me if you hurt Ari we will go back to how it was before I moved

I walked away and over to my bag. After doing airs we headed to the beach. Bax and I officially introduced ourselves on our way there.

Bax: I wanna get to know you

KeKoa: What

Bax: I wanna get to know you, I've never truly met you until now I always said you were some stupid girl who didn't like my little sis back in Queensland and now I truly actually want to get to know you

KeKoa: Maybe

Bax and I walked up to Elo and Wren trying to walk past them but we were stopped.

Elo: Alright guys let's go surf it is pumping out there

Bax: Nah we've been training all day people gotta eat

Elo: Bax KeKoa

Bax: Oh you want us to run some laps maybe pick up some rubbish, I think someone left refuse under the car want Baylen to crawl under there

Elo: You think I'm being tough on you two

Bax: No

Elo went on about making Queensland sorry for dumping Bax and then we walked away. As we were walking to get food Baxter started a conversation.

Bax: Have you lived here you entire life and just visited Queensland

KeKoa: No I just moved here 2 years ago and occasionally went to Queensland to see my sister and niece

Baxter and I continued talking until we got to my house and we said goodbye. As I shut the door and he walked away I was curious if I even have a shot with him.
