The girls and I were talking when we saw a girl talking to Ari. The girls caught me up on Ari's situation earlier. We waited for him to walk away and we walked up to her.
Poppy: Hey how do you know Ari
?: oh crap
We all 3 looked at each other confused while the girl turned around. The girls and I went to put on our wet suits and grab our boards while we talked to the girl.
Poppy: So how long are you staying
?: According to my mom about 6 weeks but according to the flights I'm about to book with her credit card the next 24 hours
Bohdi: Do the Gibson's know you're leaving
?: No no no it's one of the secret plans
Poppy: That's pretty weird
KeKoa: Yeah
Bodhi: Guys it's not weird
?: Anyway every second I stand here is a second I'm not in New York so
She started to walk away.
Bodhi: Heh if you're only staying one night there's a party at Poppy's tonight
Poppy: Bohd's she just said she wants to leave
Bodhi: It'll be fun and Ari can come too if he wants
?: Ah I get it you're using me to get to him
Bohdi: No he's just a really good friend of Poppy and I's
Poppy: But he's been keeping to himself lately
?: Well I'll probably be super jet lagged but thanks for the invite gotta go climb a hill
Bohdi: Good luck
?: Well if I never see you guys again have amazing lives
After our heat we all agreed that we would meet at Poppy's for the party and then we left.
Mom: You did god today
KeKoa: I could've done so much better
Mom: He's on your mind isn't he
KeKoa: I mean how could he not be Mom I understand and left him without a word or even an explanation I'm lucky if I even get a text from him
Mom: I know babes and maybe we can go visit sometime but for now you need to focus
Just then I got a call. I answered it only to find out that my father was found dead in his hotel room. I looked at Mom and bursted into tears.
Mom: We'll take a day or two from surfing and go get your stuff from his house
KeKoa: Alright after comps though right
Mom: I was thinking before the next comp
KeKoa: Ok
*Layer* Soon it was time for Poppy's party so K took a shower and got ready for it
