Leilani struggled to process everything that happened the previous night. First of all, she had gotten far too drunk to keep herself together. Secondly, she remembered almost kissing Vinnie, once again. The two hadn't spoken of it, it wasn't awkward the morning after, they just went on with their morning acting normal.
"So how was last night?" Reggie whispers to the girl as she takes a seat next to him at the table. "It was good, I feel like shit though." She says taking a drink of her coffee, "Did anything happen?" He asks, she rolls her eyes at the question, "No, nothing happened we just got drunk." She shrugs, he looks at her with a weird look and she laughs, "Leave me alone."
Her and Vinnie locked eyes, she smiled at the boy slightly, he admired how beautiful she looked. Her curly hair sitting slightly over her chest, framing her face. Her gold jewelry completing her skin, her eyes shining brightly. Vinnie adored the girl, he couldn't imagine anything bad ever happening to her. He felt the need to keep her safe whenever he was with her, make sure he was always there for her.
A lot had changed in the past few weeks. The two went from hating each other's guts to getting drunk together and actually enjoying each other's company.
They were happy with the changes. Being together made them feel comfortable, they were themselves around each other.
Leilani was grateful to know that she could go to him if she needed anything now. When she first moved into the house, she didn't even like talking to him because she felt like anything he would say would just be an attempt to bring her down, but it's different now. Obviously, he had gotten over his childish feelings and finally started acting like a man.
