The hardest thing to do
Push this,
Push that,
Do this, and that
No!!!
This way,
Try harder.
Seek! Strive! Aim! Undertake!
Exert
Struggle
Battle
Toil
Labor
Strain
Why can't you!!!
They can; Stupid,
You don't try
You annoy
You aren't
Successful, smart, pretty, or funny
You don't use effort.
But I do, all I do is
Try
Try, the poison
Dripping from their lips
Hanging onto every word;
Yet I'm clinging,
Clinging,
Exerting,
Exhausted,
Trying to stay, trying to win.
So much hate
Resentment,
Disgust,
I'm not trying!!??
That's all I do!
But I'm tired,
Exhausted, weak;
Powerless and shaking,
Uncertain and unsteady.
Hope - longing; dream
The reason I keep going
The little confidence,
Slowly,
Tiny wave by wave
Surging -
Forward into me
Giving just enough
For me to keep trying
