The girls had arrived at home and were now preparing dinner, Jungkook was in one of the guests rooms arranging his clothes for his stay when Jennie walked in

« Hey » she greeted while her gaze traveled across the room, the closet was open as the man was filling it with few of his sweatshirts and pants, his suitcase was left empty on the floor while he was standing at the bed's foot folding some of his clothes

Jungkook raised his head and immediately smiled when he saw his sister « oh hi! Is everything ok? » he asked then turned his attention back to what he was doing

« I just came to tell you dinner is ready » her left hand reached for the side of her right arm then started rubbing constantly the same spot while she hugged herself tightly, her lips were pressed together and she couldn't stop herself from biting on her lower lip— the anxiety was taking over her senses

Her brother glaced at her then turned to the closest with a nod « Alright I'll be there in one minute, just let me finish this » he didn't gave her much attention since he was busy finding the right places for his stuff

However, the brunette didn't leave. Instead of that, she quietly walked to the bed and sat at the edge of it
« Can I ask you something ? » she started as she ran her hand on the surface of a pillow that was near her— trying to busy herself whit whatever she could

« Sure, go ahead » he responded without looking at her— since his back was facing her, she took the time to watch all of his movement before taking a deep breath

« Are you happy ? » Jungkook stopped whatever he was doing and looked over his shoulder with a frown

« What do you mean? » he asked as the brunette closed her eyes, it was already hard for her to do that and he was making it harder

« Are you happy with your life as it is right now ? Your job, your routine and everything.... »

The man closed the door of the closet and walked to the bed with wrinkles that started to form on his forehead « Uuh yeah? Maybe? » he shook his head before seating next to her « Wait wait wait, I'm not sure I understand were is this going »

The brunette rolled her eyes and held the pillow closer to her body, making sure to squeeze it every time she feels angry or stressed « Just respond with a Yes or No! » she tryed her best to stay as calm as possible but it seems like she would loose her self-control at any moment

« I don't know. Things could have been better but I am not complaining, I mean it's kindda hard to be engaged in the special forces— it's not easy to have a life there and you never really get used to it but I'm fine» he layed back into the mattress, this lookes like it would be a long conversation so better being confortable

The girls only nodded « You should quit »

Jungkook gave a dry laugh then rolled his eyes «yeah right » he mocked and shook his head sarcastically as if she had made the worst joke but he suddenly stopped on his track when he noticed the serious look she was giving him « you can't be serious ? » he asked in concern as he tryed to read her expression

« Yes I am » honestly, she knew he would react that way and she totally understood his point of view but she needed to make him change his mind— she wanted him to be happy

« You know I can't » he said with a big frown as he straightned himself— he felt betrayed. He thaught no one understands him more than she does but here she was, telling him the opposite of what he wanted to hear
