"i fixed your marriage" he said calmly

"What!?" i said praying that I heard something wrong

"I fixed your marriage to one of my business partner's eldest son" he said like it was such a normal thing

"You didn't even ask about my opinion" I said

"I didn't have to I'm your father i know what's good and bad for you" he said, I scoffed at his word

"Father? Literally you never treated me like your daughter" I said

"Listen here I don't wanna hear your drama, you have to marry him because of this the business industry will bloom with the merge of their and our business and our company is really in a bad shape right now so we need this" he said, I was truly hurt
But I can't bow down against him now I have had enough

"Now you listen 'father' I don't care about whatever your buisness shit is ,I don't wanna marry and I will not you can't force me against my will, I am not your pawn with which you can get whatever you want, it is your business your deal you are responsible for it not me and don't you dare to meddle me in these things I'm not an object. I'm fully independent and will fly back to Delhi tomorrow for my work and studies" I said trying to sound as calm as possible while controlling my tears and anger

"I did a lot for you this is how you will pay me back" he said

"Huh? Hm maybe you did a lot for me but only in terms of money and never gave me an emotional support which I needed the most but its okay don't worry I will pay you back your money and for your kind information I started earning and paying my own fees and bills when I was 19 only
Now I'm going back to my room i have enough of shit for today and don't ever bring this marriage topic again"

"WAIT" he said shouting but I didn't care less

"So do you not want your late mother belongings?" He said i halted on my steps when heard about my mum

"Turn back now" he commanded I did that

" If you marry him i will give all your mother's belongings and her flat to you if you don't do the same I will sell all of them they are all costly" he said
Now my tears betrayed me and fell down

"H-how c-an you?" I gulped down my saliva and try to be steady

"I can" he said coldly

"Marry him and yes I'm not that bad father you can give him divorce after 8 months of the deal if you want" he said and started moving out

"Have you ever loved me or even once saw me as your daughter?" I said stopping him
Hoping to hear something

"No the day you were born was the worst day of my life" he said while coldly eyeing me and moved out of the study to hall and my knees became weak and I fell down.
Why does everyone have to be like this why? just why? When I think now I will have a better life alone, away from all this, this happened,

"Mumma why you left me if you were here,would they have treated me right?" I said crying

And while gathering all the strength i went to my room and locked myself and cried my heart out.

Vivaan pov:
Here I'm done with my work and moving back home all the employees halted the moment I went out of my cabin and bowed
I moved out of my company and went to my car my driver opened it for me and started driving it was already 9 pm I was free early today and want to spend some time with my family.
I came to my house

"Bhaiii" my sister vertika came running to me

"Slow down you will get hurt" I said chuckling

"How are you so early today " my mother said coming from the kitchen while cleaning her hand with a towel

"Hmm I was done with my work a little earlier" I said placing my blazer then myself on the couch

"That's nice" my sister said

"Hmm certainly" i replied

"Go to your room and have a shower till then I will prepare the supper and vertika go and study a little more " mom said

"Ok" we both said and then I moved to my room and vertika to her room
I came down after 1 hr and saw vertika watching tv

"Weren't you studying?" I asked

"I was but now I want to watch something" she said while focusing her eyes on tv"

Everyone was seated and my mother and dadi were serving

"Here you came" my dadi said
"Come sit and bring your brat sister too" she said while serving to dadu

"Did you listen to her vertika now come and shut down the tv" vansh said slapping her head playfully while going to the dinning area vertika just poke out her tounge at him

"You guys eat I will eat later let me finish one episode" she said
I just went there and removed the tv pluck and snatch the remote from her
"What the hell bhai" she shouted

"Give me back the remote" she said shouting and standing on the couch

"First voice down, second come and have dinner after that you can watch it" I said moving to the dining area too

"You are so bad" she said
"Indeed" I said

She blabbered something and stomped her feet everyone chuckled at her behaviour

"Ha ha hash lo sab ke sab mujhe rula ke"

She said

"Are beta abhi roi kaha tm" dadu said
"Dadu app bhi" she said pouting
Everyone laughed and started eating quietly. After we were finished vertika ran to watch tv while the servents were cleaning the kitchen and dining hall
"I want to talk to you" my grand father said

"Come to my room" he said and we both went to his room, he sat on the bed while I sat on the chair beside

"Vivaan you are already 27 and will turn 28 in just 7 months" he said while placing his specs to the side table, and I know where the conversation leading to, he made me meet 23 girls already, but I never liked any of them, because I didn't want to.

"So? If you are going to say the sam-" he cut me off

"Vivaan, listen you are old enough for getting married, we also want to have a daughter in law, please grant us this wish and allow this old man to see the face of his grand daughter in law and great grand child atleast, that's my reques-" he said and was about to fold his hands

I stopped him by holding his hand

"Dadu don't say like this"

"Please bete, I and your dadi is old enough to d-"

"Okay I'll get married" I said finally giving up, you can't win if the opponent is someone you love and they knows how to emotionally blackmail
He grins at me

"Okay you have anyone in mind" he asked

"No dadu" I said sighing

"Then I have a girl in my mind, if you marry her, it will also strengthen our business and afterall she is a nice girl" he said and got up to hug me

"When are you free you can meet her then take her on dates and get to know her then we will fix the marriage" he said while backing

"No need for all this just fix the date as soon as possible, you chose her for me I don't have any doubts". I said while in reality I don't give a fuck about who she is how she looks but I just wanna get away with all these drama as soon as possible.
I don't have time for these shits
"Ok then I will ask the priest and set the nearest date for engagement and then marriage" he said
"Hm ok" I said moving out of his room
