POV the nonsense in my head: *looks at watch, to last update date, back to watch*.....oopsies :) *thinks I'm not that big of a Crosshair simp,* hehehe check my fics "and there's plenty more where that comes from"

So sorry peeps, life is busy on my end. Fair warning, I wrote this story before I knew how do fully do GN material so if there's a "she/her(s)" feel free to replace it with chosen pronouns. I just really wanted to update this book

Another pre warnings warning, I'm back in school so I will try to update weekly but no promises :/ There's that and trying to keep my Pup of The Wolfpack fans occupied. That and There's like no good quiet places in my house 🤦‍♀️. (Any writer knows how much of a pain this is)

Well that's enough of my complaining 🙃
Warnings: fights, possibly language, talk of injuries (not too bad), fluffy Crosshair

Sry one more thing, in this (y/n) is a special medic (non Jango clone) that can heal patients by touch, unless they are severely warn out or injured, this can result in passing out for periods of time.

(Y/n)'s POV

I got my weapons ready for the next mission. We were supposed to be going to a planet called Kaller to assist an attack which had to be with the regs. Don't get me wrong when I briefly worked with the 501st they were very nice and respectful, but the others...not so much. Every pick up line in the book I've declined and some were stupid enough to keep trying, which ended with multiple broken noses, my current tally is 98.

Still, I was getting a bad feeling about going on this mission. So I asked the only person in the ship that could give me any reassurance when I got like this. Crosshair. I don't know what it is about him that can ease my nerves, but he always does.

I walked up to our shared room door and knock. I heard him climb down from his bunk and move towards the door. I subconsciously hugged myself, a nervous habit I never shook. When he opened the door and I walked in. He gave me a confused look, "you alright?" I sighed "I'm not sure, I just have a bad feeling about this mission". I said feeling a shiver run down my spine. He gave me look as to say continue, so I did. "I guess it's just a mix of working with the regs and a gut feeling that you guys might get hurt" I mumbled the last part but he heard it. "Hey, you won't get rid of us that easily, and you know I'll gladly beat up some regs if they try anything" he said smirking. I laughed a little at that, that's one thing that I've always liked about him. If he trusts you he'll make sure no harm comes your way.

FLASHBACK:
The first few weeks I was with the batch were quite interesting. At first I had to help a completely different battalion who just so happened to be buddy's with one of the many broken nosed regs that might have crossed my path... so while I was busy he snuck into my locker and took three quarters of my wardrobe leaving me with one extra pair of battle warn blacks and a pair of pants from my sleep wear, no top, just pants, which of course I didn't know at the time.

Then when I was on my way back to the ship the "lovely" regs managed to surround me in the hanger bay behind some crates. All my non lethal weapons, in the ship. Oh why did killing regs have to be illegal. Luckily for me I still had my comm, I discreetly sent my location/turned on the one way speaker and tried to stall. Normally I'd just fight my way out but it was 8 to 1. I'd probably get through 4 maybe 5 before they could get me knocked out. Bandage nose walked towards me as I tried to get anywhere but near him.

"What's the matter, is your bark worse than your bite". I sighed, no turning back now, "My bite works just fine, how's the nose?" He attacked and I easily dodged, clearly Cody never trained these guys, some of their fighting skills were just sloppy. But I'm still outnumbered.
