4) Strings Of Fate 🔪

Trafalgar D Law POV:

Everything around me died. I lose my family. Lose my baby sister. My classmate. Hospital. Everything I was born and raised is gone.
After that, I lose the one important person who care for me and willing to cure me from a illness I thought i can die from.

And here I am, at age 26, as a captain of the heart pirate, with an ally of captain of the StrawHat pirate, the idiot Monkey D Luffy. I agree to do this ally because of his D in the family.

I also have one so I was hoping if we work together to destroy Doflamingo's factory and defeat him to save people in Dressrosa. For revenge. From what he did to his own brother and celestial being, Corazon. He is the reason why I am staying alive until me and Luffy-ya defeat Doflamingo for good. I am in the Sunny with Luffy to travel to Dressrosa together while I make a plan.

As we arrived, we get in the island and got disguised to blend in to not get caught easily. I was with Luffy and Franky as we walk to the town while I was guiding them to where Doflamingo can be. My grey eyes stared at a colosseum as I heard people cheering for which also got Luffy's attention. He drag me to follow the bars and I see that it is a battle to win a fruit which I can see is about the flame fruit.

How did Doflamingo manage to have it?

I look at Luffy as I can clearly see that he seem intimidated and determined to win that. I stared at him and feel like I know how he felt since I was there to witness and help that scar on his chest. I can still remember how Luffy was in that operation room while the blood spill on my hands while I work hard. His cries echo for Ace and wish to see ace again that day. I look at Luffy and didn't take a chance to hesitate as I said, "Go there. We got time to get him...I know your brother is important and would want you to have his fruit."

Luffy stared at me and smile widely as his eyes shine a bit before he manage to find a way to get inside with his disguise. As he goes, I watch him while I look at my hand to see a red imaginable string getting dragged that connect to Luffy. I hum softly and just make sure nothing will happen to this string while I know very well it mean.

Soulmate...

Within these hours, I kept eyes on my hands to make sure Luffy didn't get hurt while he was busy doing something to help defeat Doflamingo. I just sigh and just look at the string as I stand up to go find Luffy now since it was a bit longer to do this. But before I did, I suddenly got knock out and fell to the floor as I grunt quietly. "Ugh! M-mugiw-wara-ya..." My eyes then closed and grew blank.

Monkey D Luffy POV

Something is wrong.

I was still in the middle of the battle and feel something is off while I felt a thing tug on my hand. I look down at my hands to see a red string that has happened during PunkHazard island when I meet Torao again. It was tugging for some reason while my gut is telling me something is wrong so I look off to the direction while I huff.

Something is up with someone.
I know it

I look at the direction of where the red string tug when I heard a loud noise come from a guy who I was supposed to be battling with. I quickly focus back and easily knock him out as I quickly head out of this coliseum to find who is in trouble. It can be anyone but it won't matter since it could be my friends. I manage to however get out of there to go off to follow the string, only to find out that Torao got caught and in Mingo's castle.

I head off to go find Torao to save him as the tug goes fast. I keep running and got inside without trying to sneak with a new friend to help me out. "Torao! Torao!" I call for him as I feel my heart twist hard which make me worried so I kept looking for him. I soon found him, getting chain up by sea stone prism cuffs on a chair. I curse under my breath as I try to unlock the key without touching the cuffs. As I did, I can hear Torao try to prevent me for doing anything and calling this alliance off but I ignore it since he is my friend.

It seem to be useless as I rid the chair off from him as I decide to carry him with those chains on. I lift him over my shoulder and exit out of this place as I will find a way to get it out. We soon landed on the floor roughly as I see Zoro run off to a wrong path. We manage to go off as I grab Zoro to follow us to listen to where Torao want us to go. I make sure he is safe in my arms and kept eyes on him as he seem annoyed which I find it funny.

We run and try to dodge some attacks that my crew help us out while I got to the rooftop thanks to people I meet who are so cool. As we reach it, I manage to get Torao's cuff off and got to the roof where Mingo is. I cross my arms and glare at this warlord while I am determined to kill him and save these people from his hell.

Trafaglar D Law POV:

We got to the roof to where Doflamingo is ready for us to fight and look back at us while we start to charge at them. As we were fighting together, I get to see how well we work well and how our abilities seem very well mix. Luffy having to deal with Doflamingo's attack while I hit Trebol with my sword. I try my best to assist him until Doflamingo grip me to throw me across the room.

I groan loudly and felt a bone poke out so I easily snap it back up. It seem to be me and Doflamingo now as I try my best to do this for Corazon. But as I tried, I have failed and lose an arm which make me scream in pain. But I kept reminding myself to push through it as I told him, "The Will Of D will always win over you!" He didn't seem to like it and use his string ability to make me scream more.

That was it...
I'm going to dead..

I watch as Doflamingo rise his feet up to end me while I see a flash of Corazon watching me from the sky. The only last red string that I care for. I have given up at this point and accept it knowing I fail as I was ready to see him. That is when I felt nothing happened or any pain, I move my hand away to see Luffy has block his attack with haki and conquer king haki.

He has that?!

I groan as a strong force of wind push me back and try to see how it goes before seeing Luffy kick Doflamingo back against a wall. Luffy then look over my direction and run over as he shouted that ridiculous nickname, "Traffy! I got you!" He grab me in his arms as I felt his warmth and blood on me which make me feel alive again as the string on my finger tighten as if he won't want me to go yet or want me to die.

He doesn't want to lose me
Like how he lose Ace.
He is protecting me.
Until he win this battle.

He pick me up and call out for his friend to have me being taken care as he throw me to them. Robin-ya manage to catch me with her devil fruit and see Chopper-ya walking over to fix me up but I told him to not as I want to see how this battle end. I wanted to know if Luffy can truly defeat him. For my sake and Corazon. I felt some of my blood draining out of my body as Chopper-ya insist again so he didn't hesitate to grab some bandage to make sure of it.

I just watch the fight as I see Luffy use a new technique to be stronger while I didn't want to be bothered. Robin-ya seem to understand what I am going at and make sure that chopper is done in what he is doing so I can watch. At the end of it, Luffy has finally defeated Doflamingo and the war was over as the people are free from his strings. I stared at Luffy and sigh of relief as I lower my head to relax.

He did it. Corazon...are you watching up there? Doflamingo is down.
This town is free. You're free. I avenge you...

Suddenly I lay my body down on the soft grass and rest for now while my eyes closed shut. I breathe heavily and quietly thank Luffy-ya for doing this for me. Just hope this alliance can be better than I hope but.

I open a eye to see Luffy rushing over from the battle toward me as I see the strings of our finger connect strongly. I smile and close them again as I was glad this end well.
