chap 10 - fed up

april was still getting over what had happened five days ago.

she admitted she was in love with niko

april thought admitting it to herself would make her think of him less, but it did the exact opposite 

niko consumed every one of april's thoughts, everything she thought about spun back to him 

april had denied herself of loving him and thinking about him that her brain was trying to make up for lost time

april had no idea how she had stayed in denial for so long. the way she would look at niko for moments longer than she was supposed too, the way nikos touch sent fire running through april's body, the way her shoulders lightened just by listening to his laugh. and his smile. god april loved that smile

aj knew that april loved niko, although she never outright told him, the hints she would drop when she went to his apartment, or the way she would hide in ajs wardrobe when niko came home, that slightly gave it away to aj 

aj and april had grown closer since the night on the bouncy castle

april enjoyed ajs company, since she had apparently lost nikos company, she spent more and more time with aj 

she loved aj like a brother, but she missed when her and niko would talk and the adrenaline that would never stop running through her when she talked to him 

niko had been distant lately. not only to april but to all of the boys, and they had noticed it. april and aj would talk about it trying to sniff out what had happened, but they never got their answers

april hadn't seen niko for three days, zero contact, nothing.

beta squad had arranged to meet up this morning to plan video ideas and invited april to tag along

april was supposed to meet niko after.

april had made plans with niko three days ago to meet up for ice cream. of course before she told niko she liked sharky, and niko had stopped hanging out with the boys and her.

niko would occasionally hang out with the boys, but he was always quiet. way too quiet for niko. well this was all according to aj 

although niko would sometimes hang out with all of them, he never hung out with april, as soon as niko found out april was going, he wouldn't be there.

but today would be different, niko promised to be there and he had plans to see april later on

april was shitting it on meeting niko later on. she hadn't seen him since she decided she had a fat crush on him but she wouldn't let that change anything between them. niko would want to stay friends and april wouldn't want to jeopardize that. maybe april could even find out why niko was being so distant

april wasnt really mad at niko, she couldnt be. there could be something wrong with niko and something could be going on so he cant make time for his fucking friends-

stop.

april cut herself off. april stop being a cunt.

april looked at herself one last time in the mirror tucking away the fly aways in her hair before grabbing her phone and reaching for the door handle to leave

april and all the guys were sat on the couch waiting for niko to come. they were all growing restless as niko was about to be 3 hours late
