april sighed and rested her hands on her eyes. it was too bright and too early for her eyes to try adjust to the light. april lay there for a few moments before she let out a small sigh and sat up.

god it was too early for this she thought. april rolled her tongue around her mouth before a single thought entered her mind. i need a coffee

~

april opened her blue car door and plugged in the keys and waited to hear the familiar sound of the car starting. she rested her two hands on the wheel and closed her eyes trying to figure out how to get to the nearest coffee shop. she was still new to the neighbourhood and still had trouble finding her way around.

after a few wrong turns april had found her way and ended up at a starbucks. she pulled into the drive through and poked her head out the window to get a view of the queue.

''fucking hell, thats acres long'' april muttered. she let out a huff and collapsed onto the back of the chair. she let the sunlight poke in through the car windows and watched how the sunlight tried to illuminate every part of her car.

a low mutter of voices were heard outside her small car as there was the quiet bustle of people talking and running about their day. she loved watching people. not in a creepy stalker way. ew. she wasn't a weirdo. she just liked watching people handle their day, she loved seeing all the different relationships, brothers, sisters, daughters, mothers or couples

she always imagined little scenarios for the everyone she saw and she tried to think about what their backstory was. okay wait, maybe she was a little crazy

april sat there like that for a few minutes before turning to go grab her phone which lay on the passenger seat before she heard a knock on her window.

''jesus christ!'' april exclaimed jumping at the sound of the knock on the window. she instinctively put her hand on her heart and grunted a 'fucking hell.' she used her hand to shield her eyes from the sun and squinted to try see the man who was currently standing in front of her window smiling at her and waving.

the guy standing at her window seemed to have a flash of recognition on his eyes but april shrugged that off and ignored it. she didn't know he was, so how would he know who she was?

he signaled for her to roll down the window and she gave him a weird look before she obliged. she tried to began to speak until the man quickly was cut her off before she could even get a word in.

"i'm niko" he started

april clicked her tongue. ''uh huh.'' she nodded. she couldn't help the smile creeping up on her face. "well hi niko" she replied. she raised her eyebrows and gave him a once over. he was cute. niko seemed to realise she was checking him out and he nodded his head and gave her a cocky smirk. april understood the cocky smirk as him saying 'you like what you see huh?' and she instinctively rolled her eyes and he in return let out a light laugh and her annoyance

"sorry to interrupt you checking me out miss, but-"

"i wasn't checking you out." april interrupted

niko opened his mouth to try continue speaking, the smirk on his face only growing wider but she cut him off again

"you hit on all your customers?" april questioned, she pointed to his starbucks uniform and quirked a brow

"only the pretty ones" he shrugged, but that stupid smirk of his was still on his face.

he was expecting her to smile at that, but she only narrowed her eyes only more. she bit the inside of her cheek

she propped her elbow up on the ledge of the window and rested her head against it. "so do i get a discount?" she gave him a sweet smile
