Another Way Out. Regulus x reader

Part 2.10

"Hey! I'm not a dork!" I groaned.

"But that doesn't matter, what does matter is making sure I'm not late to meeting with him. He is the guy I'm hanging out with" I explained.

Lily stopped laughing immediately. "Oh shit, y/n you're going with him!" She almost warned.

"Yeah is that a problem?" I asked.

"Well, you guys hanging out isn't a problem. I'm actually really excited for you but what is a problem is the fact that the guys are planning on going to hogsmead aswell" lily said.

This information shocked me, I did not remember getting this information. I actually remembered them all not wanting to go to hogsmead.

"I thought they didn't want to go?"

"Yeah well they changed their minds when I reminded them that they had to go Christmas shopping" lily winced realizing this would make going out hard.

I got up and started pacing, "we need to come up with a way for them to not bump into us and freak out"

Lily thought for a bit before lighting up with an idea " what if me and James hung out with them and directed them in the opposite direction of you guys if we saw you two" she offered.

I stopped pacing to look at her. "Lily I can't ask you to do that, I don't want to ruin your plans with him just for me."

"Trust me I don't mind, we would be spending most of our time at zonkos anyways so I might aswell do that with the other guys. He will be making it up to me later if you know what I mean" lily smirked.

"Ew, lily I didn't want, or, need to hear that" I cringed.

"Hey, I'm helping you right now, there is no need to judge how I spend time with James" lily said in a stern voice.

"Okay, okay I'm sorry. I do really appreciate you helping. I know it's not a date but I do think something could happen today" I explained.

"No problem girl. I've got your back"

Regulus and I had said we would meet each other at the three broomsticks and plan our day together from there.

The walk down to hogsmead was chilly since it was December but I was able to stay warm with a pair of gloves, a hat, and a scarf.

When I entered the three broomsticks I was hit with a wave of heat. It was so warm and cozy because of the fire burning that it felt like walking into a big fuzzy pillow.

It was so warm that I didn't need my gloves and hat anymore so I took them off and wandered about, looking for regulus.

I found him sitting in a booth in the back corner of the tavern, playing with his hands.

I looked around and saw nobody I recognized then began quickly walking over.

Regulus was wearing a very nice black sweater, black jeans, and a green scarf. There was a pair of gloves and a hat on the table next to him.

He didn't initially see me waking over but once he did I saw a big smile spread across his face.

"Hi, sorry I'm late. I had to talk to my dorm mate about some stuff" I laughed a bit while sitting down.

"It's not a problem at all" he said with a big smile, it felt like he wanted to say more but was stopping himself.

We were both quiet for a bit before I decided to talk "so where do we want to go today?" I asked.
