Another Way Out. Regulus x reader

Part 2.8

Regulus slowed his walk and thought for a second.
"Maybe not the library but we could go up to my dorm. My roommates aren't going to be there and you can borrow my robe so nobody knows you are a gryffindor" regulus offered with a slight smirk.

Go into his dorm!
Absolutely yes!

"Uh sure" I replied as coolly as I could.
As we changed course to go to his common room regulus took off his robe and put it on me. And boy was it big. I was practically tripping over the extra fabric.

When we got to the spot on the wall regulus whispered the code and pushed my through the door.

We quickly walked to the stairs and practically ran into his dorm.

Both of us sighed once we slammed the door.
I turned away from the door to look at regulus.

"I can't believe you snuck me in here" I smiled.
Regulus laughed a bit while rubbing his neck.

"Well it's not the first time you snuck in so it's not like I could ever stop you from getting in. It also much cozier in here than it is in the library" regulus smiled before walking over to his bed.

I followed him and leaned against his bedpost as he sat down.

I took off his robe and put it on his trunk at the foot of the bed.

"Come sit" regulus said while patting his bed.
I could tell by the way my face was heating up that I was blushing a bit.

I walked over to where he indicated and sat down.
"So, you like inter house gossip right?" Regulus asked.

"Of course I do. I get to enjoy knowing what's happening around the school and it never includes me" I said.

Regulus looked at me and chuckled.
"Y/n, you are brought up all the time in inter house gossip."

My face went blank.
What!

"I am!" I asked.
"What do they say!" I said hurriedly.
Regulus smirked.

"Why would I tell you. That kind of information is worth something. If you want me to tell you, you would have to give me something in return" he whispered as he leaned In slightly.

"You are such a dick" I whispered back.
"I know" he laughed.

I paused for a moment before talking.
"How about I tell you what people say about you" I offered.

Regulus raised an eyebrow.
"What do they say about me?" He asked.
I chuckled.
"You first"

Regulus sighed before starting.

"Well, there were a few rumors that you are dating Sirius but since him and Remus were caught in the broom closet that one died down." Regulus began.
"Eww, they thought I was with Sirius?" I cringed.

"I know, gross. Anyway, there is also a rumor you are a secret mermaid because of your late night swim last year." He continued.

"I do think the most interesting one is the one they have about us. One thing that has been circulating is that we are secretly together. I do get asked about it alot actually. What's more interesting about it though is that people think we have been together since first year and that we are secretly engaged because you always wear a ring on your ring finger."

"What? Some of that doesn't make sense. We were never seen together until fourth year. And how would we be engaged? We are fifteen!" I asked.

Regulus put his arms up in surrender.
"Hey, I'm just telling you what I hear. Now it's your turn. What are they saying about me?" Regulus said leaning in.

I giggled.
"Nothing" I laughed before getting up and trying to get out of his reach.

"You little snake." Regulus laughed before getting up and going after me.

I tried running away from him but he wrapped his arms around me and pulled my down onto his bed.
"Let go of me" I laughed.

"Nope. You didn't hold up your end of the deal so now you have to pay" I laughed before tickling me.
He did so for a solid two minutes before he stopped.
I tried to catch my breath from laughing so much but since he had his arm around me I could get my breathing steady.

All I could do was stare at him.
Stare at his beautiful eyes and hair.

This was unfortunately interrupted by the door opening and his roommate coming in.

Evan.

Both me and regulus shot up and looked at Evan.
Evan was looking at us with his jaw on the floor.
"Holy shit reg" he sniggered.

"Dude, I swear on my life we weren't doing anything" regulus stated.

Evan looked down at reguluses arm still around me.
"Ha, not yet at least"

I was blushing like crazy.

"I gotta say man, I thought this little obsession with her was going to go nowhere but I guess I was wrong." Evan laughed.

What does he mean by obsession?

"Honestly I should have known it would work out. Based on everything you said so far-" Evan began before he was interrupted by regulus who was now blushing as hard as me.

"Evan, me and her aren't a thing so shut up. Please"he said giving Evan a look.

They seemed to communicate with each other without talking for a bit before Evan spoke again.
"Right um, I'll just go get something from downstairs. Nice to see you y/n" he said before leaving the room.

"I am so sorry" both me and regulus said at the same time causing us to laugh.

"I should probably get going" I said getting up.
"Yeah, probably. See you tomorrow" regulus said pulling me into a hug.

"See you tomorrow"
