He had become even more gorgeous.
As I looked at him he turned his gaze to me.
If I didn't know any better he looked like he was analyzing me like I did him.
I was probably wrong.
He is my friend
That is all
I gave him a slight smile as I continued down the train car.
As I reached the last compartment I saw them, the marauders.
As soon as I saw them at ran into the compartment to see them all.
"Y/N" they all shouted in unison before giving me a big group hug.
"Hi guys" I greeted to nobody in particular.
"Y/n you will never believe what happened a few weeks ago" James exclaimed happily.
"What happened?" I asked
And he began to tell me a story.
And then Sirius did.
And then Remus.
And even Peter did.
They all laughed about shared experiences that I would never understand.
As much as I shouldn't be sad about it I really felt disconnected.
It was like this every year but like every other year it went away as I went on adventures with them at school.

After getting off the train and putting my bags in my dorm room I went with the rest of the Gryffindor students down to the dining hall for the feast.
As I walked down I saw the Slytherin students walking in from the opposite hallway.
I craned my neck to look and see if I could find Regulus.
As I looked over the crowd someone started whispering in my ear causing me to jump.
"Are you looking for anyone in particular?" the voice asked
I quickly turned around and saw Lily.
I calmed down a bit and let out a big sigh of relief.
"No Lily I'm not," I said in a very monotone voice.
She just looked at me with an expression that said I do not believe you.
"Are you sure you are not looking for regulus?" She questioned.
I could feel my face heating up.
"What!"
"I said are you-" she said before I cut her off
"I know what you said, but, why would you..." I trailed off,
"Y/n, you are not as slick as you think" she giggled before linking arms with me.
"I'll let you off the hook tonight but we are going to discuss this later okay," Lily said while raising her eyebrow.
I nodded in agreement.
Me and Lily sat down at the Gryffindor table and waited for the marauders to join us.
They eventually did and began complaining about having to sit through the ceremony again.
I ignored them as I watched Regulus walk through the door and over to the Slytherin table.
I swear I think he got taller over the summer.
As he walked to the table his hair moved in an angelic way that made me almost incapable of looking away.
Once he sat down I turned my attention back over to Lily.
"Do you think they would let me go to the bathroom in the middle of the ceremony?" I asked Lily.
She looked at me for a second before waving me off to look at James
"Probably," she said in passing.
I nodded my head slightly before looking back at Regulus who was already looking at me.
I quickly looked away before looking back at him.
His eyes stayed fixed on me as I saw a slight smile playing across his lips.
Damn, his smile was gorgeous.
As I looked at him I moved my eyes to look at the door then back at him.
He looked at me slightly confused so I decided to mouth the words 'meet me in the hall' to him before I stood up and walked into the hall.
As I waited for him to show up I leaned against one of the pullers outside of the hall.
After five minutes I felt slightly embarrassed, why would I expect him to leave the hall just to talk to me?
So I leaned off the pillar and was about to go back inside when I saw Regulus leave the hall.
He looked around before finding me.
When I saw him so close to me I couldn't help but run and give him a hug.
He was not expecting it and tensed up a bit before hugging me back.
"Regulus. It is so good to see you" I said into his chest.
He smelled so good. Like old books and cologne.
"It's great to see you too y/n," he said into my hair.
I didn't want to let go but I had to since there was a purpose for me meeting with him.
As I let go I looked up at him.
"So I'm guessing you want to know why I asked you out here," I said
" you guessed correctly" he smiled.
He had a beautiful smile.
Get your head in the game
You have a reason to be talking to him.
"Well I have two reasons, number one is I was wondering if we shared any of the same classes this year" I stated before waiting for an answer.
"You know you could have just waited to see tomorrow right?" Regulus said with a grin.
"I know but I really want to know," I said
Regulus thought for a second
" well I have potions first, herbology second, defense against the dark arts third-" he began before I interrupted.
"I also have potions first and DADA third!" I exclaimed.
Regulus chuckled.
"That's great but I didn't finish telling you my schedule," he said.
" I know but I have something else I need to say before we have to go back in for the ceremony" I rushed as I heard the first year's coming down the hallway.
"What is it" he asked
"I can't say right now but... Meet me at the astronomy tower tonight at midnight" I said quickly as I saw the first years turning the corner.
"Okay see you then," Regulus said as I started going into the hall.
What is up with me?
I cannot structure a proper conversation with him right now.
I seriously need to work on that.
As I sat down regulus walked into the room again and sat down at the Slytherin table.
"I hope you guys weren't doing anything that would scar the first years" Lily snickered next to me.
"Shut up Lily" I joked.
This was going to be a very interesting year, I could already feel it.
