The next morning, at the Aquarium, Rory and David are sleeping together, naked and under the covers in bed. Suddenly, a noise in the distance awakens Rory, who sits up. After getting dressed, Rory walks around the aquarium with her pistol out. She hears a noise in the front lobby and sneaks around the corner, before turning the corner with her gun aimed, revealing to be Bertie with her doggy toy in her mouth.
Rory: Jesus! Bertie....what the hell are you doing here?
Hannah: David? Is that you?
Hannah appears from around the corner, which gives Rory a surprised look on her face.
Rory: Hannah? What are you doing here?
Hannah: Looking for David.....is he?
Rory: He's alive....
David: Rory?
David enters the front lobby.
Rory: As you can see.
David: Hannah? Why are you here?
Hannah: I heard about what happened with Brandon....and I figured you might have come here to hide.....
Hannah turns to Rory.
Hannah: Rory, you're not here to turn David in to Stephan, are you?
Rory: No, I'm not....I was actually here to help David....to fix the boat so we can go to Florida.
David raises an eyebrow at Rory, hearing this.
Rory: Like we discussed, last night....Right?
David, uncomfortable with the lie, eventually sighs and plays along.
David: Right....
Hannah: Well.....if we're serious about this....we'd better stock up on medical supplies and also, food. It'll be a long journey...so we don't want to risk getting sick out in the open sea or starved out.
Rory: What's the best option for medical supplies?
Hannah: The Olympian Hospital. Kia might be there already....
Rory: Make a list of supplies that you need....meanwhile, you two search for food...weeks worth...the old market on the east side might have the food we need.
David: Yeah, it's also around Locust territory.
Rory: Yeah, but what choice do we have right now?
Rory prepares to leave just as David walks up to her.
David: Hey.
Rory: (annoyed) What?
David: What are you—
David notices Rory has the aquarium keys as she attempts to unlock the door.
David: Are those my keys?
Rory: Sorry...
David: Can I talk to you for a minute?
Rory: I'm listening.
David: Why are you doing this? Why did you lie about coming with me to Florida?
Rory scoffs.
David: Look, I didn't know she was going to show up, okay?
Rory: Okay.
David: I don't think she knows about last night—
Rory turns to David, glaring at him.
Rory: I don't-Fuck last night, okay? I don't give a fuck, all right?
David: Well, I give a fuck.
Rory brushes this off, and turns away from David.
