Today was a big day.
It has been one month since I got discharged from the hospital. Twenty eight days since I missed that award ceremony. And around fifteen days since things got better between Kartik and me.
And now, after all this storm, here I am. Receiving yet another important award of my life. This time, along with the love of my life and my biggest supporter.
Kartik and Dhara.
"And the Acher's Best Designer award of the Year goes to......Mrs. Anushka Mahajan." And then, a huge round of applause rumbled in the auditorium air. The smile on my face was nothing compared to the one on Kartik and Dhara's face.
And it gave me so much warmth to see how much they care for me and my success.
"Congratulations bhabhi! I know you will win!!" Dhara hugged me tightly and I smiled at her words. Then, I turned towards Kartik, who was looking at me with so much love that it swelled my heart.
"Congratulations love, you are amazing." And with that, he took me in a hug too. I, hugged him back with equal force and kissed his cheek. He smiled and then, I went on the stage to claim my award.

We- back home after the ceremony. It was the plane. But my dear husband changed it and took us to a restaurant instead, for our private celebration.
"You know this isn't necessary right?" I asked them. Dhara just glared at me and Kartik narrowed his eyes.
"Two awards in one month. This ain't a joke love. We need to celebrate this!" He said and put his arm around my waist. I took in his calming musculin scent and relaxed in his arms.
Then, as we were halfway through our celebration, I felt something weird. As if I was going to throw up soon.
And just when I thought it got better, I felt the wave and ran towards the washroom.
"Bhabhi!"
"Anushka?!" Both of their voices followed me as I ran there. Then, after I was done, I opened the stall door. They looked at my drained face and worry clouded their mind.
"What happened, love?" Kartik asked me as he stepped closer to me and put his hand on my arm. And I was very thankful for that, because the very next moment, I lost my consciousness and he was there to hold me.
"ANUSHKA!"

I was hella scared for Anushka. Why did she suddenly pass out?
This has been happening a lot. One month back and now again. I don't think these doctors are of any use. I'll take her for a check up to some other, better doctor. These-
"Mr. Mahajan, come inside the room please." The doctor told me and I followed her inside the room. In view, my beautiful but drained wife came. She was looking at me with something like......hope?
"What is it doctor? Is she fine? Why did she pass out suddenly? Are you okay cherry? You feeling pain anywhere? Do you want me to get you something?" I was panicking and my wife just smiled at me.
"Calm down, Mr. Mahajan. It's nothing you think like." Even the doctor chuckled at me and my confusion increased. What the hell was happening here?
"What is it?" I asked, trying not to react much.
. . . "Congratulations, your wife is pregnant." And as these words left the doctor's mouth, she smiled big and I looked at my wife.
She was also smiling at me.
And just like that, tears started running down my eyes.
