It has been one week since the last time we talked to bhaiya. And I am not liking it at all.
He went to Mauritius for a meeting for three days. It's been seven days now and he's not even in contact with us. In three days, bhabhi is expected to receive the award. And her idiotic husband is still not here.
"I think you should try this one. Though this red dress suits you, green is your ultimate colour." I suggested to bhabhi and she nodded her head quietly before going towards the dress section again, and this time picking a random green dress to come show me.
"How about this?" She asked me. I stared at her as if she had grown some horns. She looked back at me in confusion before I sighed.
"You sure you want to wear a dress with a slit this high?" I asked her, pointing at the scandalous dress she chose. Not that bhai or I mind her wearing anything at all, but knowing her I don't think she will be comfortable in wearing this.
She chose it very randomly.
"Ohh shoot! I will go and search for another one. You wait here okay!" She told me and started walking away when I held her hand and took her towards the couch in this big dress showroom.
Then, I made her sit and sat by her knees.
"What are you doing Dhara! Get up!" She gasped but I shook my head at her. "No bhabhi, you wait and listen to me." I told her firmly and made her sit down. She looked at me before frowning.
"You know what, for me you are not just my bhabhi but a second mother to me. I love you as much as I love her. And I can't see you like this." I told her. Every word I said was true.
"What do you mean Dhara? I'm fine, absolutely fine. Look. Happy even." She tried to fool herself by saying so. She can't fool me.
"Yea? And I'm a unicorn. We both know it bhabhi, that how much bhai's absence is disturbing you emotionally. And he just wouldn't understand." I said and she finally looked away from me as her shoulders slacked down.
"We can't do anything in it, Dhara. He's just doing his work. And we are his family. We are supposed to understand him." She resonated and I frowned. As far as I know, she's the strongest woman in our family. Yet, she's such a softie for bhai.
Things love makes people do!
"No this is not fine if he's ignoring you for seven days straight! Can't he call you just once?" I asked her back with steel in my voice. She looked at me once before looking away again.
"Bhabhi look, I just-" before I could complete my sentence, I saw her clutching her head tightly, as the dress gripped out from her hands and she fell down on the showroom couch.
The sight caught me in horror as I screamed loudly.
"BHABHI!!"
