The Shibas have just finished breakfast when the news gets their attention
"Early this morning... the JMDP secured a small USNA Navy-affiliated vessel in Japan's offshore territory." The Newscasters said, "Apparently, it had begun drifting because of engine trouble... but a high-ranking military attache at the USNA's Tokyo embassy was aboard the ship, so the JMDP is currently verifying all the facts with the USNA military." he said
"It doesn't seem as though it ran afoul of any poor weather." Miyuki said
"Maybe the issue was with their power source." Izuku said
"After all, with how far automation has come in this day and age, a simple human error wouldn't have caused them to lose their steering." Bell said
"I see. That make sense." Miyuki said then she carry the plates away
'It's a country's regular army.' Aichi thought, 'This response was too fast... even assuming Kouichi issued a direct order.' he thought, 'Good thing I contacted him last night.' he thought
"Well, we should change into our uniform." Miyuki said
"Yeah." Aichi said then everyone head to this room to change into their uniform
Later at school
Izuku enter the Robotics Research Club's garage
"Pixie... Cancel suspend mode." Izuku said
"What do you require?" Pixie asked telepathically
"I want to ask you about the vampire incidents." Izuku asked, "First, were parasites responsible for the victims' blood loss?" he asked
"Yes." Pixie said telepathically
"Why did you need blood from a living person?" Izuku asked
"Blood loss was not our intent." Pixie said telepathically, "It was a side effect of mistaken propagation." she said telepathically, "Our propagation process starts by cutting off part of ourselves... and sending it into a recipient." she said telepathically, "The separate body spreads through blood vessels while absorbing Psion and Pushions in the bloodstream." she said telepathically "It permeates the recipient's physical body by exchanging itself for their blood." she said telepathically
"Wait. You are bodies of information. You don't have mass." Izuku said, "Where does the exchanged blood matter go?" he asked
"It is used to modify their body during assimilation." Pixie said telepathically, "Should assimilation fail, the separate body is expelled from the recipient's body as vitality." she said telepathically
"So, that's how it works." Izuku said
"Should permeation of the body succeed, we can control its information body its ethereal body." Pixie said telepathically
"An interplay between physical bodies and information bodies?" Izuku asked, "The same basic tenet as magic." he said
"If we can access the recipient's mental body through their ethereal body and merge with it, our propagation succeeds." Pixie said telepathically, "Unfortunately, however, we have had no successes." she said telepathically
