"Sleep."

She snuggled closer to Minjeong and giggled, biting her lip.

"You too."

"I came here to report the kidnapping of my wife," Jeno informed the policeman in front of him. The older man lifted his eyebrow, his inquiring eyes showing confusion.

"How old is she?"

"26 years old."

The policeman laughed softly in irony. Jeno couldn't be more offended at the older man's reaction. He found it immensely disrespectful; not only because his reaction seemed unprofessional, but also because it was making Jeno start wondering if that man actually knew his social position and who he was.

"Sir, she's a major and a fully grown up adult. You can't report the kidnapping of a person who's legal age."

"But she's my wife!"

"I understand."

"No, you don't understand! She just had a car accident and her psycho ex-girlfriend took her!"

"I'm sorry, but unless she receives mistreatment by her ex-girlfriend or she files a complaint against her, there's nothing my workmates or I can do for you."

The policeman got up from his seat, leaving Jeno alone in the room. He gritted his teeth and got up, almost throwing the chair to the floor in complete fury. He had always thought he had power over anything he wanted. But this was the first time ever anyone had tried to oppose him, and succeeded.

"Honey, are you-"

Taeyeon thought she was going to have a heart attack the moment she saw a bra laying on the floor of her daughter's bedroom, not that far away from the door. Her eyes widened, and it wasn't too long before she looked up.

She blinked, not believing her eyes.

Her daughter was sleeping, apparently naked, and a female of whom she could only see her hair was sleeping next to her, snuggled closely to her body. The older woman frowned, as the woman hugging her daughter seemed pretty familiar to her.

Taeyeon didn't even know why she was doing such a thing, but she found herself approaching her daughter's bed in hopes she would recognize the woman next to her.

She couldn't even believe it.

"Jimin..."

She blinked her eyes and leaned down, shaking Minjeong's shoulder softly.

Minjeong breathed out and sighed, snuggling her head deeper on the pillow.

"...I want to sleep, Rina-"

"-Kim Minjeong."

The young female opened her eyes right away, leaning up as she recognized her mother, completely embarrassed.

"Eomma-"

"I-I'll let you sleep now. We'll talk later."

"I know, mother, but it's harder this way."

The woman sighed deeply, already feeling mad with the whole situation.

"Isn't there any other way you can take her money, son?"

Jeno shook his head. He was already feeling desperate with Jimin's disappearance. The moment he had married her, he thought his access to her inheritance would be confirmed. Then, with her accident, he had the possibility of transferring money from her account but, now...Now she was with Minjeong and everything was just getting more and more difficult.
