Adelaide's POV
"What are you doing? You can't just hang them. They supposed to trickle down" Caroline says
"Trickle" Matt mocks, Elena snorts in the background
Me and Osa went had to go back to school to help Caroline set up for the dance which was frustrating given that Elena was here and I still needed to slap Matt for the attempted murder of Finn.
"Look at them all bromancey" Caroline comments
"Yeah I asked Matt to help him adjust. He got him his old job back at the grill"
"Hey Care what do you need us to do?" I ask I don't need to look at Osa to know she's giving Elena a death stare
"Just help organise the props please. They're a mess" she says gesturing to the table they were at
"Jeremy's got a lot on his mind, the whole thing with Alaric and Kol has got him really stressed out" she says glancing to me as if I'm supposed to feel guilty
"You sure it had nothing to do with witnessing you and Damon getting hot and heavy in a sleepy motel?" Caroline remarks
Me and Osa pause our actions for a second and just look at each other speaking to each other with our eyes. I guess I jinxed it when I said Damon was Elena's boyfriend for the day.
"I didn't tell you that so you could torture me with it" Elena says her eyes gesturing to me again
"Ah what are friends for? I would've told her either way" Caroline says turning around to smile at me
"So who are we taking to the dance" Caroline says addressing all of us
"What do you mean? I thought you me and Bonnie where going to the dance?" Elena asks playing with one of the scarfs
"Actually it was supposed to be me, Bonnie, Mari and Caroline, not you" Osa says with a bitter smile on her face
"Bonnie has a date. Jamie called and wanted to see her so she asked him"
"So here's a thought. Why don't you ask Stefan?" Caroline says
"Right because getting hot and heavy with one Salvatore isn't enough" Osa says
"I can't ask him on a date. I just made out with his brother" Elena says
"Talk about keeping it in the family" I mumble
"All the more reason. You're supposed to be figuring out what you want. That's what Stefan wanted you to do, right"
"Caroline you're encouraging whore behaviour" Osa says
"I've watched the bachelor. Ok fair is fair. It is Stefan's turn"
"I'm just gonna leave before I hear something that makes me respond in a way that some of you won't like. Call me if you still need help" I say before leaving and heading to Nik's

I didn't bother knocking on the door since I know it was already unlocked. Elijah and Finn definitely weren't here and neither was Rebekah. I made my way up to Nik's art room where I thought I would find him. When I got there he was facing his easel painting away
"Where is everyone?" I asked
"Rebekah went to prepare for the decade dance Elijah's off doing God knows what and Finn went to get drunk"
I kept quiet and walked closer to him admiring his work. He put his paintbrush down and grabbed the cloth to clean his hands turning around to face me.
"I'm not angry at you. I'm upset about how you chose to handle the situation with Bonnie but I'm not angry. I know your family is a sensitive subject for you" I say
