Adelaide's POV

"You know I can't keep staying here. As much as I love missing school, I'm pretty sure Davina's gonna hit me for making her go through double English alone"

I've been here for a few days, Elijah made me come with him to his witch's house so they can track Elena or whatever. To me it's just creepy, I mean a grown man sneaking into a teenage girl's room and taking her stuff. Seems like the first sign of pedophilia to me but I keep my mouth shut apparently Elijah has had enough of my snide comments

"I never thought I'd see the day where you'd fight to go back to school" Elijah responds a small smirk on his face

"Well I mean I need to figure out what I'm doing here and how long I'm staying. We told my school I was flying over for my grandmother's funeral and not to be rude but I'd rather go to uni in England not whatever their equivalent is here"

"College Adelaide"

"College is what you go to after secondary school. Either college or sixth form"

"Here they call university college"

"Either way I want to go back. It's boring here. The only entertainment they have is supernatural business. I can't even joke with people here. They don't understand the humour they just think I'm being mean"

"But you are"

"Yeah but in a nice way"

Elijah and his witch continued to go over the spell to find Elena while I pouted in the corner. Elijah told me to stay there while he goes to Elena to which I complained and begged that he takes me somewhere else. I don't like his witch, I don't like any witch to be honest, the only ones I like are the Claire's and the Bennet's and this one is neither.

After a while of being there doing absolutely nothing I fell asleep. I woke up to the feeling of being lifted up. I didn't bother opening my eyes or attempting to stand already knowing who was carrying me. I felt my back touch something soft and my shoes get tugged off my feet before I felt a kiss on my forehead and heard Elijah bid me Goodnight before leaving the room and switching off the light.

I woke up the next day to a text from Caroline asking me to help her out with Tyler, he had just broken his werewolf curse and she didn't want him to go through the transformation alone. I showered and got dressed before meeting both of them at the Lockwood cellar

"What's the new girl doing here?" Tyler asked gesturing to me

"The new girl is helping" I saw holding up a pair of chains

"The one's your uncle were using aren't strong enough. Now I would've suggested for you turn out in the open but seeing how many vampires there are in this town I don't think that's a good idea"

We all walked further down the cellar readying for the night that was to come while Tyler kept asking questions

"So you've done this before?" Tyler asks

"Yep. Been turning since I was 15 but I can control when I turn"

Caroline shoots me an apologetic look remembering when I had triggered my curse. I never blamed her for it, it wasn't her fault. We had both promised each other at young that we'd always protect each other, and that's exactly what I did

The transition went as smoothly as it could have. Tyler managed to get through the transformation quickly and Caroline was safe. We both agreed we'd come back to check on him in the morning. We walked through the woods Caroline following behind me as if she couldn't figure her way out without me.
