Adelaide's POV
I sat next to Damon while Alaric sat next to me at the bar of the grill
"Yeah, yeah you did" Alaric says
I took this as an opportunity to drink alcohol since everyone's concernes layed elsewhere. Damon only let me drink in the house and I would only get a maximum of 5 small glasses
"Bourbon please" I said as the bartender handed me a glass. He didn't even ask for an id, I smilled and mentally celebrated until Damon took my drink and downed it
"Nice try rabbit i'm gonna have to be a little more distracted than that" Damon said with the glass still in his hand and his index finger pointing at me. Damon nicknamed me rabbit since he claims I hop around and walk like I have a bent leg.
"I had to try. So what exactly did you screw up on?" I ask
"He fed Elena his blood" Alaric answered
"Can't say i'm suprised"
"Where were you?"Damon asks
"What do you mean?" I reply
"You weren't at the house, where were you?" Damon asks again
"I took a walk"
"Hm" he looks at me skeptically, deciding not to press me on the matter
Technically I didn't lie. I did go to take a walk I just somehow managed to circle around near the witch burial site and visit the witch house
"Gentlemen, why so glum?" I hear. The same british accent I heard in the woods.
Damon turns his head and groans "Klaus I presume" Damon says
I peek over his shoulder to see the same man with dirty blonde hair and blue-green eyes I met in the woods.
"In the flesh, thanks for the loaner mate" Klaus says
"Fucks sake" I mutter to myself. I can feel Alaric's confused eyes on me and I can see Klaus' smirk. Damon doesn't bother turning around to look at me he knew I was going to explain later.
"Any reason you stopped by to say hi?" Damon asks very unhappy by his presence
"I'm told you and your brother fancy my doppelgägner just thought i'd remind you not to try anything you'd regret"
Damon laughs a bit, turns around to look at us then speaks again
"Thanks for the advice, I don't suppose I could talk you into a postponement by any chance, huh"
"You are kidding. He is kidding, right?" Klaus asks
"No not really" I reply as Alaric shakes his head
"I mean, what's one month in the grand scheme of things?" Damon asks
"Let me be clear. I have my vampire. I have my werewolf. I have everything I need. The ritual will happen tonight. And if you want to live to see tomorrow, don't screw it up" Klaus threatenes
"Well this has been fun but I need to go" I say while standing up
"Why?" Damon asks confused
"I have homework"
"Your seriously thinking about school right now?" Damon asks in disbelief
"Yh well I have like a million detentions along with a meeting about my attitude with the parents I don't have. I would like to do my homework before I get into even more trouble"
Klaus smirks and steps closer to me as Damon quickly moves infront of me in a protective manner
"It was nice seeing you Adelaide" Klaus says looking me in the eye before leaving the grill
