The girls' cover of 'Carpe Diem' was blowing up all over TikTok. Within only two days, their video reached 10,000 views. "I guess a handful of these people liked Olivia's singing!" Avery said as she walked up the school building.

"I didn't sound that great." Olivia says, her face dropping.

"Olivia, you're half Slovenian. You sounded wonderful!" Sam added, patting Olivia on the back.

"Hvala lepa." Olivia replied. (A/N: I'm currently trying to learn some Slovenian, and that's the only phrase I know by heart)

The girls all walked in, seeing the other students on their cell phones, blasting a familiar melody. "Did they see it too?! I hope they don't mention how bad I sang." Olivia said.

"Liv, what did we tell you?" Avery said.

Then two boys named Hank and John approached the four girls. "Look at what language you were singing in. Gibberish!" Hank snorted and John followed.

"It is not gibberish. It's SLOVENIAN, and I'm fluent in it." Olivia retorted, about to go full-out Miss Balkan, like her mother usually did.

"Let's hear you say something Miss I-Can-Speak-A-Nonexistent-Language."

Olivia cleared her throat. "Poslušajta, vidva. Ne moreš iti naokrog in govoriti o pesmi, ki smo jo s prijatelji priredili, v jeziku, ki ga govorim, ki je pravi jezik, iz katerega je moja mama! Lahko pojem, kar hočem!" She ranted. (A/N: I had to run Olivia's rant through Google Translate because I don't know much Slovenian, please correct me where I went wrong if there are any mistakes. Thank you! I'll put the translation at the end of the chapter.)

Hank and John's faces looked stunned. John made mimicking sounds of Olivia's Slovenian, and Hank laughed along. Then the principal placed her hand on John's shoulder. "Young man, please step into my office."

"What's going on?" Sam asked.

"I don't know. I hope he gets expelled." Jenna added. "I've hated that guy since kindergarten. He once took my lunch, I still hold that grudge. Now I'm so tempted to write a song about him."

"You totally should." Avery replied.

"I'll write arrangements for the guitars and drums. Sam, we'll give you the beat, you can play around with it."

"As long as I don't use a ladder as an example of the sound!"

Then the principal called the four girls in. "Is he expelled?" Olivia asked.

"And I've had a grudge against him since first grade." Jenna added.

"He will be suspended for this week, but still graduate on time."

They walked out of the principal's office. "How do we do this?" Olivia asked.

"We will find a way, Liv." Avery said.

"How about you text them in Slovenian and make them run it through Google Translate! That would be so funny." Jenna said. "I've always wanted to get revenge on him. I guess karma does happen, like, a lot."

"And now let's celebrate the last week of high school, ever!" Sam added.

Hi everyone!
I promised you that I would put the translation of Olivia's rant to the guys, so here it is:
Listen here, you two. You can't go around trash-talking a song my friends and I covered, in a language I speak, which is a real language, where my mother is from! I can sing what I want!

Anyways, the girls will graduate in the next chapter! Thanks for reading!
