Chapter 30: Maybe There Was Hope After All

Nora shouts again, interrupting him this time her tone sounding angry more than anything as she could see that Cisco was being serious about trapping Henry

The tech genius was hesitant but alas knew that Nora wouldn't leave it alone

Cisco: I promise.

Nora unclenches her fist as she takes a few deep breaths and then steps back away from Cisco as the tech genius finally allows himself to breath

Nora: I promise you, Cisco. I can save Henry. I didn't come all this way to fail now.

And with those final words, Nora walked out of the speed lab..leaving Cisco by himself as he looked down at the weapon he created; while he'd promised Nora he'd bring Henry back as well

He knew that despite needing the help of the sibling speedster..he was still a threat that could kill all of his friends and honestly he felt Cicada was a much smaller threat compared to him, one that needed to be stopped which is why he felt it in his heart that he needed to go with his gut

Cisco: I'm sorry, Nora.

Cisco mumbled thinking about all the people he's lost and still can lose with Henry around

Cisco: But I can't let anyone else die.

Cisco then got to work on the weapon and hopefully this time it would be enough to bring Barry home

Welp, somewhere away from Star Labs and Central City, actually from everywhere to be honest..in the woods of a hotel movie set at a camp, Henry and Barry ran as fast as they could though not as fast as they would if they had their speed

The two of them were currently being chased by a hockey masked killer known as Jason Vorhees..a serial killer who seems to always come back to life despite once being just a plain human; the both of them hide behind a tree and both breathe out heavily

Barry: We really need to get home.

Henry scoffs and looks at Barry and replies back

Henry: We wouldn't be in the mess if it weren't for you.

Barry: Have you ever just stopped and thought that maybe being a hero is better than being a villain?

Henry couldn't help but to laugh in his head thinking that Barry was absolutely crazy to even consider asking him that. He then decided to turn the question around onto the scarlet speedster

Henry: Have you ever just stopped and thought maybe being a villain is better than being a hero?

Barry was taken aback by the question being turned around onto him but before he could even answer, Jason steps out from behind the tree as Henry and Barry both step back as the scarlet speedster tries to stand in front of his son protectively but instead Henry pushes Barry behind him and tells him

Henry: Stay behind me.

Henry looks back at Jason who kept walking forward. The hockey masked killer raises the machete and goes to slash them but Henry kicks him in the gut and followed it up with a punch to face, but Henry sees that it didn't even affect him as Jason goes to slash him again but Henry catches his hand and holds it back but Jason just grabs him by the shoulder with his other hand and throws him into the tree

Henry falls to the ground and groans in pain; he was starting to become very frustrated with not having his speed because if he did..he'd be able to take care of Jason without breaking a sweat; Henry looks back and sees Jason standing in front of Barry as the serial killer raises his hand but Henry immediately gets up and runs at Barry and this time it's him who tackles the flash to the ground
