Shane walked through the town. It was 7 am. Having to get up this early irritated him. He was looking down when he was walking. Someone bumped into him.

"Watch we're your going!" He yelled out.

He heard crying. He looked down and saw Jas.

"What are you doing out here?" He asked.

"I wanted to go with you to work with you!" She said through her tears.

Shane picked her up.

"You can't come to work with me your to-" his words cut off.

"PLEASE," she started yelling.

Shane sighed and agreed. They arrived at Joja. Jas begged to have one of the the hats that the workers wore.

"Who's this little girl?" Morris asked Shane.

"She's just gonna see what it's like working here, maybe she'll be a future employee!" Shane tried to convince morris to let her stay.

"Well, just don't let her mess with anything!" Morris sternly said.

Shane nodded and took Jas into one of the aisles. Shane started showing her how he restocks the shelves. Jas was paying full attention.

"Jas I have to go to the back for a minute, could you stay with Sam he's in the next aisle." Shane asked.

"I guess..." Jas mumbled.

Shane told Sam what was going on and left her with him.

"So, are you wanting to work here one day?" Sam asked her.

"No... I just like being with dad," she replied.

Even though Shane was her step-dad she still likes to call him dad. She was antsy. She never really talked to Sam much besides him being her best friends older brother.

"Sam, why do you work here?" She asked.

"I mean I don't want to, I just need money," Sam replied.

"I thought the band made money?" Jas was confused.

"Well I wish, it's just not enough to sustain myself," he replied.

"Why don't you try to get more popular?" She asked.

"Well we've tried but not much is working..." Sam sighed.

"Why don't you try performing in zuzu city?"

"Hm going to the city," he thought, "You know that could work!"

Jas smiled.

"Your a smart little girl," Sam teased.

"I'm the top of my class!" Jas teased back

Sam ruffled her hair a little bit. She fixed her hair. Shane came out of the back. He seemed stressed.

"Jas, it's time to go home sweetheart," Shane lead Jas out of the building.

"What's wrong?" She asked.

"Don't worry about it," he replied.

They made it back home and Shane put Jas in her room. He took Marnie outside.

"What's going on?" Marnie asked.

"I was fired," Shane started crying.

Marnie went up and hugged him.
