LUNA

I groan softly, feeling a warm ray of light shine on my forehead.
I open my eyes, only to see blue skies above me with the sun shining bright.

Birds are chirping, wind is a soft breeze.
I stretch my arms, smacking my lips before I rub my eyes tiredly.
Last night's sleep was...amazing.

I blush, remembering EVERYTHING that happened between us.
We really went all the way...
I giggle, snuggling closer into his side. "Good morning my love," I whisper, before I snap my eyes open again, pure horror taking over my relaxed mood.

It's daytime.
And Marko...is STILL HERE!!

I sit up in rush, pulling the blanket from his face to see him.
He hisses, forcefully yanking it back to cover his face.
Panic seizes my chest.

I go under the blanket to see him.
His eyes are shut, and he groans under his breath, arms clutching stomach.

No...no no no!
I need to do something.
He'll die!

I get up and get dressed, making absolute sure that he's covered before I look at him.
He can't stay here, not in direct sunlight!
I need to find something!

I glance around, adrenaline pulsing through my veins.
I have limited time!
I scour our surroundings, only to find a shaded tree.
There are no caves...nothing.

I have to get him out of the direct sunlight.
I shake his shoulder. "Marko? Marko wake up!"
He groans, rolling under the blanket. "Luna..." He says, in a tone that scares me.

I shake him some more. "Please, I need you to put some clothes on!" I shove his shirt and pants under the blanket.
He doesn't move.
"Marko please!" I practically scream, "you need to get to the shade!"

I continue to shake him, afraid that if he falls asleep he'll die.
At one point, he gets so annoyed that he finally slips his clothes on, though he needed some help at some points.

With the blanket covering every inch of exposed skin, I drag him by his feet to the shaded area before I prop his body up against the tree, lowering the blanket from his face so that he can breathe.

I sit beside him, glancing all over his face, reading his expression.
It's weak, and he's in pain.
Anxiety grabs me.

I grab him by the shoulders. "Marko, stay awake. Don't go to sleep!"

"Luna..." He says through a weak labored breath, his body leaning and falling against me.
Shit I need to do more!!

I glance around, searching for something, until realization sinks in.
"How long have you gone without blood?"

It takes him a while, but he holds up three fingers.
Three days...
That's why he's becoming so skinny!

How could he be so stupid?!

I dig in his pockets for the knife he carries, and I hold the blade over my palm.
He needs some blood to keep him alive through these next few hours were stuck here.

He sees me. "Luna, don't-"

I slice my hand.
Gritting my teeth to keep a howled shout of pain from coming out, I raise my hand to his lips.
He moves his head.
