Chapter 36

Greggy

We're now done eating breakfast and I'm here at Irene's room and she's now at her closet.

"What are you finding ba, love?" I asked. "I'm not searching anything, I'm fixing it." she answered.

I'm just here in her bed while watching her then suddenly someone knocked. I stood up to open the door and it revealed, Bongbong.

"Oh p're.." I uttered, "May ginagawa ka ba?" he asked. "Wala naman." I answered.

"Tara, samahan mo ako" he uttered and about to pull me when Irene spoke. "Hoy saan kayo pupunta?" she asked, napatingin naman kami sa kanya.

Then she lift her eyebrow. "Nagpapabili lang si Liza, nagpapasama ako." Bongbong replied.

"Sigurado ka, Kuya?" she asked. "Oo nga! saglit lang kami kapag nakahanap kami ng pinapabili ni Liza." he answered. 

"Oh sige, umuwi kayo agad, Greggy sinasabi ko sayo." she then pointed by her finger. 

"Yes, love. Love you." I uttered then Bongbong pulled me downstair. 

"Ano bang pinapahanap ni Liza?" I asked him, while he's driving. "Green apple tapos spaghetti daw na kulay yellow." napanganga naman ako.

"Jusko ka, Bonget bakit mo ako dinamay dito?" I asked, he chuckled. "Eh pinsan mo yun." he replied.

"Asawa mo naman." I answered. "Then where are we going to buy that weird food?" I asked. 

"Hindi ko alam! Kaya nga kita isinama e, para matulungan mo ako." he uttered.

Then I stared for a moment. "Huy, ano Greggy kasama pa ba kita?" he asked.

"Ayun oh, may tindahan magtanong tayo kung saan nakakabili nun" I told him.

We then stopped in a convenience store. "Ah nay, pwede po magtanong?" Bong asked. 

"Sige, hijo. Ano ba iyun?" the elder woman asked. "May alam po ba kayo na nabibilhan ng spaghetti po na kulay yellow?" Bong asked.

I am hiding my laughter when I saw Manang's reaction. "Eh sigurado ka ba dyan, hijo?" she asked.

"Opo, nagpapahanap po si misis e." Bong answered. "Ah ganun ba? wala namang nagbebenta dito tulad ng sinasabi mo." 

"Ah sige po, salamat." Bong answered then he looked at me.

"Paano 'to pre?" he asked and started driving again. "Tawagan mo si Irene, baka may alam siya." he added.

So I fished out my phone from my pocket and dialed her phone.

"Love?" I asked. "Yes, what?" she asked, sungit nanaman. "Do you know where we can buy a spaghetti that color yellow?" I asked.

"Ano?" she asked. "You heard it right, love. Nagpapatulong si Bong." I answered.

"Siguraduhin niyo lang na hindi sa atin ipapakain 'yan ha. Tsaka wala akong alam, may ganun ba na pagkain?" she asked. 

"Ay love!" she called me. "Hmm?" I hummed. "Daan ka sa grocery please? buy me a sanitary pads, naubos pala." she uttered. 

"Love, ano naman kinalaman ko sa sanitary pads?" I asked. "Basta, love. Makikita mo naman yun, okay? love you." she said.

"Okay, love. Love you too." I answered, then she ended the call.

"P're daan tayo ng grocery, nagpapabili si Irene nang sanitary pads." I told him.

He looked at me. "Eh alam mo ba kung anong klase?" he asked. "Sabi ni Irene, makikita naman daw yun doon." I answered, he nodded.

We went to the SM dahil yun palang ang bukas na grocery store sa ngayon.
