"Come on, it can't be that bad. You're still here, aren't you?" he said. I smiled at his levity, even though the pain in my leg was still intense. Steve scoffs, "Yeah, alright hotshot, let's see you in their position. huh?" Tony gave him a deadly, intimidating glare before he exit at the door. "Get well soon you two!" He shouts from outside, walking down the hallway and began whistling again.

"Well..." Steve pats his knees before standing up, "We've been interrupting you two lovebirds for quite a bit. We'll give you your space now." He nods at Thor and Thor got the idea of leaving with Steve. Thor added, "Yes, we must go and save the world from evil yet again."

"It's okay, I'll make sure she doesn't get too lonely while you two are gone," she said, glancing at me with a wink. I couldn't help but to giggle a bit and blush.

"Don't worry, we'll be back soon to continue the teasing," Steve added with a grin.

Together, they left the room, their laughter echoing in the corridor. They may not always behave like rational adults, but they keep me smiling through the toughest times.

I felt a gentle touch on my hair. I looked up to see Natasha, her eyes full of concern and care. She was stroking my hair, her touch light and soothing. We lay there in silence for a few moments, just enjoying the feeling of each other's presence. It was a simple moment, but it meant so much to me. I knew that no matter what happened, she would always be there to support me and to comfort me. She leaned in and brushed a soft kiss against my forehead, and I instantly felt a sense of calm wash over me. Her touch was like a warm blanket, and I felt a rush of gratitude for having her in my life. I relax my tense body against hers. I got in a position where I couldn't hurt her arm since she's injured too.

As I drifted off into sleep, feeling the warmth of Nat's body and the gentle hum of the machines around me, I suddenly heard a noise in the corridor outside the room. I sat up by my elbows, curious by the cheering coming closer.

Suddenly, the door burst open, and Wanda flooded into the room, her voice loud and happy. She was here to see me, to make sure I was okay. As she surrounded the bed, her beaming face and joyous voice filled the room with light and life.

"I'm so glad you two are okay!" Wanda shouted, throwing her arms around us lightly and try not to hurt us. I smiled before replying, thankful that she cares about Nat and I.

Natasha climbed off the bed and asked to speak to Wanda outside. As I lay put in the bed I couldn't help but be a little curious about what they were talking about in the hallway. Every so often, I could hear their voices getting louder and louder, and I couldn't help but strain my ears to catch what they were saying, but I heard nothing. Finally, Natasha came into the room with Wanda peeking into a the room. I was confused why Wanda didn't dare to follow Natasha inside, and that sly smile Wanda had on her face. Other than Wanda, Nat looked a bit nervous. Her eyes met mine and she stood at the end of the bed. She took a deep breath in then moves to my side. Wanda was standing at the door, observing from a far with a smirk. I grew even more confused. I lock eyes met Nat and this was the first time I've seen her this undetermined, it's like she lost her confidence. She was nervous. Seeing her nervous made me nervous and I felt a lump in my throat, my heartbeat spiking.

"Y/N..." She spoke lowly before taking a deep breath in, "Every time I see you come back from a mission, completely wounded... or even the lightest scratch, I can't help but to feel like I should've been there to protect you. It makes me so scared to even think about losing you. I've learned that anything can happen after these missions or even during a regular basis... and that life's too short and I- well... we shouldn't waste it..."

My lips part slowly, curious as she speaks. I try to calm my racing heart. My mind was running a mile a minute, and I couldn't seem to focus on anything else expect for Nat since I know something's going to happen. Is she planning to break up with me? Finally, I took a deep breath and tried to steady my nerves. I gulped thickly and shift in the bed.

"W-what are you trying to say?" I ask her quietly. She paused before getting on one (1) knee.

As she got down on one (1) knee in front of me, my heart started pounding in my chest. I felt like I couldn't breathe, and all I could do was stare at her, feeling all the nerves and excitement and fear and anticipation all at once.

She chuckled, "I might not have a ring with me here, right now..." I was speechless, staring with wide eyes, "...but, Y/N Y/L/N... will you marry me?"

It was a moment that I had been waiting for, but one that I never imagined would actually come. As I looked into her eyes, I could see the love and affection in them, and I knew that this was the real deal. My mind was racing, trying to process everything that was happening. Wanda was in the background, holding thumbs up at me. I didn't even realize all the other agents standing next to her, along with Clint, Sam, Bucky, Steve, Thor and all the others. It just placed me in the spotlight, putting pressure on me with all these eyes looking at us. Every emotion that I had ever felt in my life rushed through me in a matter of seconds, and I found myself shaking with excitement. I was so overwhelmed that I could barely speak What would I say? What would our future look like? All of these thoughts were going through my head, but all I could manage to say was...

"Yes!"
