Continuing from the last part,
" Koi arson kyon commit karna chahega?”
“Kyonkii jab woh unn aag ki lapton ko sab kuch samate hue dekhte hain na toh unhe lagta hain ki woh control kar rahe hain. In the beginning, it’s controlling the fire, then he will want to control life, and start to murder people.”
Inside the burnt out factory, Karan was standing with his hands at his back. He looked at the ashes all over the floor. Monami stood behind him. She was examining every corner.
All five cases happened in different cities. They were closed cases. This was why they are keeping their investigation confidential.
A police officer standing behind them explained: “The first three cases happened in empty parks in the middle of the night or in residential houses. Jisne arsonists k alawa koi aur victim nahi tha. However, fourth case onwards, masoom log bhi maare gaye.. especially iss last case me, iss blast me 3 workers ki death ho gayi..”
“So….” Karan turned to look at him: “Tum fifth case k baad hi similarities notice kar paaye..”
The officer nodded.
Karan has a sarcastic smile on his face: “I don’t buy the ‘five cases are similar’ lie. It’s obvious ki inn cases ke peeche jo person hain usne third case ke baad se apni strategy change kar di thi. Aur uske peeche 2 reasons hain-
pehla. He is getting greedy.
Aur doosra. Woh aur attention paan chahta hain.
Jahan Tak mujhe lagta hain uska next step hoga ek big bada sa dhamaka karna involving public transport.”
The officer was shocked. He asked : “Par woh inn arsonists ko control kaise kaise kar raha hain?”
“Yehi toh jawab hume dhoondhna hain” Karan said slowly.
He took off his gloves and turned to Monami: “Let’s go.”
Monami catched up behind him: “Humne sabhi places visit kar li. Any discoveries?”
“Nahi. There’s nothing out of the ordinary. Aur saara forensic work police kar chuki hain..”
They stepped out of the factory. There were police cars everywhere.
Karan paused his steps and smiled at her: “Tell me, ab hume aage kya karna chahiye?”
Monami thought for a while: “Since scenes se hume koi clue nahi mil paa raha hain. Toh I think hume suicide notes check karne chahiye..”
Karan turned around and continued to walk forward. He said with a flat voice as he was walking: “Good, looked like our frequent and passionate love making is not affecting your work. You are as smart and efficient as usual. Good. Keep it up.”
Monami: “……”
This guy is like a changed man when he is working. But…what a way of making sure their private life is not affecting their work.

Monami and Karan were sitting in their conference room. The five suicide notes were on the table, as well as copies of other suicide notes.
