Continuing from the last part,
In the vicinity of the Delhi Public school, there are a lot of factories. The school was reconstructed on the land where there was a factory before. This factory got bankrupt and for these factory workers, government with the factory owner provided free education to their children in the Delhi public school as a compensation. While many of the laid off workers set up street stalls in the Ruby park to makes ends meet.
Meera's best friend, Reshma was one of them.
Monami and Karan observed as an officer took her testimony.
It's late in the night and it's dark outside. The school was well lit, but there was a sense of emptiness in the place. They have set up a temporary office in one of the classrooms. A girl was grieving the loss of a good friend.
"Kya usne tumhe btaya tha ki woh baad me kisi se Milne wali hain?" Asks the officer.
Reshma was weeping: "Nahi." She shook her head.
She was an ordinary girl with average looks. A small face with some freckles around the nose. But her eyes looked clear and sharp. She was wearing a simple T Shirt and jeans.
"Kya uska koi boyfriend tha?" Asked the officer.
She shook her head again: "Bilkul nahi."
"Kya tum uss raat jo kuch bhi hua tha usse wapas bta sakti.. Include every detail." Karan said suddenly.
Reshma looked at this man who has been quietly sitting throughout the interview. She nodded.
"8 baje k aas pass, Meera ne saari fees collect kr li thi. Uske baad hum dono sath me class room se bahar aaye the. Jahan Tak mujhe yaad hain hume raste me koi nahi Mila tha.. na dikha tha. As class off ho gyi thi.." She cleared her throat and continued: "We arrived at the administration office. door open tha but ander koi nahi tha. Isliye hum ne wahi thodi der wait kiya. A few teachers did walked past us. But hum baat kr rahe the ek doosre se toh humne jyada dhyan nahi Diya tha.
The officer interrupted: "We have confirmed that with the CCTV footages."
Reshma continued: "lagbhag 8:30 bje.. mera stomach ache hone laga tha.. you see I usually get cramps on the first day of my period. So I returned to the dormitory to rest."
"kya uss waqt koi tha tumhare room me?" asked the officer.
"Nahi. As periodic tests are around the corner, uss waqt mere roommates library me the.." answered Reshma.
"Phir? What did you do in the dormitory?" Karan asked.
Reshma answered: "Well, I went to the.... toilet. Then I noticed ki mere clothes par stain hain toh maine unko wash kiya. Phir apne liye.. I made a cup of tea, and then lied on bed to read. phir thodi der baad me so gayi.."
The officer asked one final question: "Does she have an entanglement with any of the boys? Perhaps koi crush ya phir someone is chasing after her?"
Reshma: "Well... ek ladka hain.."

The second person they interviewed is another good friend of Meera. Her name is Siddhi.
Like Meera, her family lives in the area so she does not need to stay in the school dormitories. She started crying when asked about what happened that night.
"Agar mujhe pta hota ki uss raat uske sath kuch aisa hoga toh main usse akela hi nahi chhodti." She sobs. "I left school immediately after the classes. Uss din woh theek hi lag rahi thi. Koi usse marna kyon chahta hoga?"
