Please Don't Hide from me

Start from the beginning

Enid Instinctively brought her hand up to her face in defense cupping her cheek to cover it, unable to look Wednesday in the eye.

"Enid?" She asked again, patiently waiting for an answer.

After noticing Enid's upset look and tear filled eyes, especially at the mention of her name rather than one of the endless affirmations Wednesday would usually call her, she blinked slowly. Enid even stepped away from her lover in an attempt to further shy away from the topic at hand.

"Don't hide from me" Wednesday pressed forward slowly trying to respect her boundaries as well as show her own compassion.

"I'm-" Enid tried before sighing "Wednesday they are just so-" she struggled to find the right words " I mean they're-"

"They're beautiful Mi amore" Wednesday finished the sentence appropriately then reached out once again clasping Enid's hand with her own and slowly lowering it to reveal her wounds.

Enid's eyes finally broke and stray tears escaped her eyes as she finally looked up at Wednesday allowing the other girl to control her hand.

She resisted lightly out of pure impulse before relaxing her muscles and sighing sadly.

"Please" the word that fell from Wednesday's lips was one Enid had never had the pleasure of hearing. She opened her mouth slightly but no words came out. Just a sharp intake of breath was all she could manage as she watched Wednesday examine her features.

"Please Don't hide from me" Wednesday pleaded with her girlfriend, extremely unnerved by the idea that Enid would feel the need to shy away from such a thing

"Don't be" Wednesday mustered up a comforting look toward her girlfriend and trailed her fingers lightly across the large scars that plagued her face.

"Wednesday they are just so-" she began

"Beautiful." Wednesday whispered, interrupting her once again. She was barely aware of her own interruption as she remained captivated by the beauty of her girlfriend's battle scars. Enid recognised this, watching Wednesday as she examined her face conscientiously.

"Never be ashamed" she relayed "You did a valiant thing, you went through a harsh ordeal that no good person like you should ever have the displeasure of suffering" she continued, the words flowing out of her effortlessly while she admired what Enid had done and how incredible her mark of honor truly was.

"They are a mark of honour. They are beautiful. You are beautiful." She declared honestly "Please. Don't hide from me Cara Mia" she repeated leaning forward to place a light comforting kiss onto each Scar individually before embracing Enid in a desperate hug.

Enid broke down into a flood of tears allowing herself to sink into Wednesday's comforting touch. Her body quivered as she breathed in, the tears falling fast and trailing down Wednesday back. She clutched onto her girlfriend desperately as she stroked hair and held her firmly in place.

When they broke apart Wednesday grabbed Enid's hand and led them towards the bed for them both to lie down on.

Enid laid her head on Wednesday's shoulder, still silently crying as Wednesday wrapped one arm around her for comfort and the other around her waist for protection. She could feel the damaged flesh protruding through the fabric of her clothes and again noticed Enid flinch away. The werewolf girl nuzzled into Wednesdays neck and she allowed her a minute of comfort before moving to switch positions.

Enid opened her eyes confused as Wednesday kissed her lips lightly before moving down her body hesitantly and lifting her shirt up to reveal the rest of her scars. Enid closed her eyes tightly and placed a hand on her own arm and squeezed for comfort, inching away.

"Cara Mia" she interlaced their hands together, looking up at her girlfriend "I said don't hide from me" she repeated and Enid's body relaxed as Wednesday used her other hand to run her thumb across the claw marks.

She looked up at Enid as if asking permission and she gave a slight nod "I won't hide from you" she whispered, smiling through her tear stained face adoring her girlfriend, who was staring up at her lovingly.

Wednesday placed 4 small pecks across each Scar whispering the words "Beautiful" she pecked once "Hero" and again " Never" and again "be" and again "ashamed" and again, she placed the last kiss delicately. She looked up at Enid who was now crying for an entirely different reason. Recognising this Wednesday continued.

"You" she placed her lips back onto the scar tissue "are" she pulled back and stroked across the wound once more "Beautiful" she whispered again before pressing her lips down one last time. Between each kiss she placed, she spoke with pure admiration and love radiating from her lips before returning to Enid's face.

She captured Enid's lips in a passionate but respectful kiss for a few seconds before pulling away and whispering

"Thank You" a light smile easily finding its way across her lips, a pleasure only ever reserved for Enid. She wrapped the girl back into her arms squeezing her lightly and using the other hand to grip her girlfriend's hand in another attempt to comfort her.

"I Love You Cara Mia. You can always trust me" Wednesday said hopefully.

"I love you too Wednesday" she sniffled, finally feeling at peace with her Battle Scars. "Thank You" she whispered out sinking into Wednesday arms and smiling as she felt her place one last kiss on the top of her head.

"Always" Wednesday breathed out as she felt Enid relax in her arms and nuzzle into her chest affectionately.
