Julien Baker One-Shots

Road Trip

"Are you sure we have everything?" You asked Julien for the hundredth time, pacing around.

You, Julien, Lucy and Phoebe were heading to the beach for the day for some much needed time off. The boys had been busy with recording lately that they needed a bit of a break.

"Yes y/n, we have everything. And besides, it's only for the day."

You always were stressed when it came to any sort of trip. Even if it was just for the day.

"Did Phoebe text you yet?" You asked, plopping down on the couch.

Julien sat down beside you, checking her phone.

"Lucy and her are close." Julien replied.

10 minutes later, you both heard knocking at the door and Julien got up to answer it.

"You losers ready." Phoebe said in an excited tone.

You laughed and stood up.

"Ready."

Julien grabbed the bag you both were sharing and you held her other hand down to the car.

"Shotgun!" Lucy yelled, climbing in the passenger seat.

You and Julien got in the back and Phoebe got in the drivers seat.

"Who said Phoebe could drive?" You asked.

Phoebe rolled her eyes and flipped you off in a joking way.

"I promise I won't get us lost."

"Don't worry y/n, I have control of the music." Lucy said, turning her head to tell you.

Phoebe pouted but agreed.

Last time she had control of the music, you guys ended up going the wrong way. Never let Phoebe have control of the aux.

The drive was only about an hour and thankfully you guys all made it in one piece.

Phoebe parked the car before you all got out.

"See, I can drive."

You shook your head laughing.

"Who wants to race?" Julien said.

"Me."

"Me."

"I'll watch." Phoebe said.

You, Lucy and Julien all got in a line, getting ready to run.

"On your mark, get set, SKELETON!"

All of you were about to run but realized Phoebe had said skeleton.

You turned your head to look at her.

"Skeleton?"

She shrugged before saying "GO!"

You all started running as fast as you guys could. You thought you were winning until you realized Julien was way ahead of both Lucy and you.

When you guys reached the water, Julien had her arms in the air in victory.

"Damn JB." Lucy said.

"Congrats babe." You said, wrapping an arm around her waist.

"Thank you my love."

"You guys did great." Phoebe said once she caught up to you guys.

"JB is the best at sprinting." Lucy said.

You all spent the rest of the day at the beach, chatting, laughing and relaxing.

The drive home, Phoebe ended up getting you guys lost. She misheard the GPS and made a couple wrong turns.

"Lucy's driving next time." Julien said from beside you.

"I second that." You said.
