Chapter 27

The clock stroke 12.
The house was empty. Everyone had just arrived at Noahs house.
"We've been over the plan 3 times. Does anyone need to hear it again?" Hunter whisper.
Everyone shook their head no.
Kayla watched them from a distance but decided to stay hidden.
She followed them but hid behind a big vase.
Everyone started to go separate ways, so Kayla decided to stay with Hunter. As Hunter went into his hiding spot, Kayla noticed a man run past them.
She could already recognise him by the way he ran.
Kayla decided to follow him but stay hidden.
When Kayla hid under the table, she saw Noah go into a room.
"He's onto us." Hunter whispered into his phone.
"He shouldn't have seen us, though. Were we'll hidden." Greyson added.
"Do you think we're being followed?" Mia asked.
"I dont know." Hunter said before hanging up.
"Shit." Kayla whispered to herself at Hunters conversion.
Not long after, she got distracted Noah. He was in the room, talking to 2 other men.
"I need you two to look over the house." Noah spoke.
The two security guards just nodded before leaving the room.
Kayla got out from the under the table and looked around.
Kayla gasped when she heard Hunter come out from behind the curtain.
Her first instinct was to run.
Hunter chased after her, not knowing it was her.
Kayla continued to run around the house until she reached a dead end of a hallway.
She turned her back towards Hunter as she put a black mask on.
"Turn around right now or else I'll shoot you." Hunter aimed his gun towards her. "Hands up where I can see them!"
Kayla hesitantly turned to him.
"Take the mask off.." Hunter said in a cold, intimidating voice.
Kayla shook her head at him, knowing she would be in so much trouble.
"3...2-" Hunter started a countdown.
"Okay!" Kayla yelled. She sighed before pulling her mask off. She kept her face looking down so Hunter wouldn't see her clearly.
"Fucking look up now." Hunter said.
Kayla picked her head up but looked at the floor.
"Kayla?" Hunter said, and he lowered his gun. "What the hell are you doing here?" He walked up to her.
Kayla didn't answer.
"Well?" Hunter waited for an answer.
"I wanted to come on the mission." She mumbled.
"This isn't a game." Hunter groaned. "God, Kayla."
Hunter got distracted when he heard someone stand behind him. One of the security guards.
He pointed his gun towards Kayla. Hunter hid Kayla behind him.
"Little girl. I think you should come out now." The guard spoke.
Hunter slowly and sneakily pointed his gun at the guard as the guard looked at Kayla.
"Cover your ears." Hunter whisper to Kayla.
After Kayla covered her ears she heard a loud "BANG!"
when she opened her eyes she saw the security guard dead on the floor.
Hunter walking over to him and took the gun out his hand before handing it to Kayla. "Be careful." He said.
Kayla looked at the gun then back up at Hunter and smiled, shocked.
"Doesn't mean you're not in big trouble." Hunter started to walk away
"Wait for me then!" Kayla ran after him. "Ow!" She said when she hit Hunters back. "Why did you stop walking?"
"This is why you're my favourite cousin." Hunter walked to Mia and grabbed her in a headlock as he rubbed her head playfully.
"Okay!" Mia laughed as she fought his off.
"What?" Kayla pushed Hunter out her way. "Noah?" She looked at him being tied up in a chair.
"Mia did nothing. I did it all." Damien said.
"What a liar." Mia looked up at him.
"You put the hacuffs on his hand." Damien smirked down at her.
Mia laughed "still. I helped."
"Both of you shut the fuck up and let me out!" Noah yelled.
"Shut up." Hunter looked at him.
"I was supposed to kill her!" Noah yelled.
"Can we get this over and done with? I'm sick of this guy." Mia sighed.
"Kayla? You wanna do the honours?" Hunter offered.
"With pleasure." Kayla smirked.
She pointed the gun towards Noah.
BAM.
"Not bad." Damien nodded.
"Yeah." Hunter put his arm around Kayla and kissed her.
"Okay, let's go." Mia yawned.
They went back to the SUV.
"Where Kayla going to sit? There's not enough space." Ace spoke.
"Where was you on the way here?" Hunter asked her.
"I sat in the boot. It was so uncomfortable." She groaned.
"Well just squeeze in the back." Hunter said.
Kayla got in the car and sat in between Mia and Hunter.
"It's so squishy!" Kayla moved around in the seat.
"Stop moving." Hunter held her hands.
"Get off me." She fought his off, but he didn't faulter his grip.
"You two are so annoying. It's so squishy in this car!" Mia moaned.
"It's Hunters fault!" Kayla shoved him
"Here." Hunter put Kayla on his lap and got comfortable. "Better?"
"Yes." Mia sighed.
"And you?" Hunter looks at Kayla
"Yes." She leaned back on Hunter.
