Chapter 7: The Day of the Band Battle

Yus' PoV

It was almost time for the band battle to begin, the day had arrived and we were getting everything ready at our dorm, having practiced through the little time we had really paid us off

Yus: "Alright...i think i'm ready to go" I said stretching my arms up, having packed a piano that Ren gifted me for this

Dusk: "I believe i'm ready too, i can't wait to see this unfold, it'll be a fun experience"

Neither me nor Dusk had seen Oka through the week if that was a wonder, but we figured she might've stayed at Ren's to keep practicing and would be back for the concert

Aoi: "Hey Yus! Everyone set?" Shouted Aoi knocking from behind the door, calling out to us to go out

Yus: "We'll be there in a second!"

Once we had everything packed up and reunited our stuff, Dusk and me walked out of the dorm and went downstairs to meet with the others that were waiting outside ready to go as well. Spooky was the first one to speak up carrying a small black box with her

Spooky: "Hey you two, wasn't Oka with you?"

Dusk: "Strange, i believed she'd be with you lot"

Yuika: "I can't contact the Headquarters to figure out if they know where Oka is...do you think she'll be fine?" Yuika seemed concerned for Oka's wellbeing, which didn't put me a lot at ease if she had been going to Ren's to practice a day prior

Yus: "She'll make it to the concert, you'll see" Even so i tried to convince myself it'll be fine and she'd arrive in the nick of time

Dusk: "Oka's a Guardian, that rank's not to be taken lightly, and she's a natural leader so she should know what to do"

Yuika: "Right..."

Aoi ran ahead of us and turned around after getting to a certain distance, waving at us to go with her

Aoi: "Hey! Lets get going already, we're the second ones to pass!"

Yus: "Ah right, Oka's deal said we'd face Ashira on the very first round didn't it..." I internally hoped that she'd arrive early, she was our main singer and we'd be unable to defeat Ashira without her

Yuika: "No time to lose then! Lets go team!"

Timeskip

Arriving to our destination, i could make out the figure of some people that were arranging the scenario where all the bands would be singing at, along some of the participants and their teams that stood by the sides waiting for everything to be set

Yuika: "Woah...would you look at all of that! They're doing their best to get it done as soon as possible!" Exclaimed Yuika impressed by how the stage was ending up, it seemed like it could fit even the largest of equipments depending on what each team brought with them

Ashira: "If it isn't you all, i didn't think you'd be here this early!" Another voice said coming towards us, being Ashira in a different clothing in comparison to the usual school clothes she wore

Dusk: "I see you're ready, Lady Ashira"

Ashira: "I sure am. Came to greet you as soon as i could, too bad my rival Oka isn't anywhere near...did she give up knowing you all had no chance?"

Yus: "You wish" I stepped infront of everyone to speak up, dragging her attention to me

Ashira: "Oh? If that's the case, i'll see you all up there, i hope you have said your prayers, i'll let you all have the first turn~" With a teasing tone, Ashira gave us her back and walked away
