3rd Point of View

Part 12 - Triggering past

"Maybe that's because you did?" Rosie whispered back.

"Urghhh fineee.... I got grounded by Mrs Nim again.."

Mrs Nim is Lisa's housekeeper also known as one of Lisa's godmother.

"Uh huh. Again?"

Rosie nodded her head and pipe up excitedly. ""And.... It's for stupid reason too!! She tried to feed Jisoonie's rabbits her chocolates."

Jennie gasped in surprise. "Lili! That's really bad! It will kill them!"

"But it's not my fault! They looked hungry and I only had my chocolate stash with me!"

"Lisa...I'm sure Mrs Nim fed him already. Now..what were really the reasons huh?"

Lisa looked away sheepishly before she replied. "Jisoonie said that her rabbits are better than Leo! She said Leo was a fool because he ate grass. So, I wanna show her that her rabbit stupid too for eating my chocolates!"

Jennie just shook her head. Only Lisa can come up with all these stupid reasons.

"So what's really the reason you call me?"

"She wants you to tell Jisoonie to stop drinking her chocolate milk and to tell Mrs Nim to return her Nintendo." Rosie interjected.

"Yah! Stop that! Let me tell her myself!" Lisa grumbled unhappily.

"No..Lily. I can't do that. I don't want Jisoonie to be mad at me.."

"But..." The younger girl protested.

"No buts! That's the penalty for trying to kill Jisoonie's rabbit." Jennie points her finger.

Lisa sighed heavily. "Urghhhh..alright then."

She heard someone call Rosie from the side before Rosie nodded and waved her goodbye.

"I gotta go, Unnnie. I'm just here to help Lisa here setting up the video call. But I will call you tonight! I've got to go to the studio now."

"Okay, Rosie. Say hi to Alice for me too."

"Yeah, will do. Love you!" The other girl replied before she moved away from the screen.

Now, it's just Lisa. Whose brown eyes staring at her curiously. "What's wrong Nini?"

Jennie schooled her features before answering the younger girl. "What do you mean, Lisayah?"

"Something is wrong." Lisa replied back seriously. "Did you just cry?" Her eyes harden.

Jennie knows she can't really hide things from Lisa so just decide to tell her part of the truth. "I'm..I just missed you guys so much."

Lisa stared at Jennie's face before she let out a soft smile. "Don't worry, Nini. We'll be there visiting you soon! I miss you too! I can't wait to see you in person!"

This time she heard Mrs Nim call Lisa's name in warning. "Ms Manoban! You can only use your phone for an hour a day! I see you! Time's up!! You better hang up now!"

"But I'm talking to Jennie!"

"I don't care, little miss!. You better hang up now before I take away all your stash!"

"Urgh..you see what I need to deal with??!!" Lisa said in anger.

"Hey, hey...It's okay, Lili. You can call me tomorrow. I'll be here." Jennie tries to consol the younger girl.

Quiet. Shit. She needs to change tactics. Fast.

"Lili? Hey...Lili? Nini loves you. So, Nini wants Lili to call her tomorrow. Is it okay?"

Lisa slowly nodded her head before giving her a small smile. "Yeah. Okay. Lili loves Nini too! Ok then. Bye bye!"

"Bye honey!" She ended the call and took a deep breath.

Talking to Lisa made her calm again. She just needs to pass the days and just wait for her members to come to visit her.

That week passed with the same old thing. She was slammed to the locker, students accidentally slipped and threw their food onto her, a slip of foot here or there just to make her stumble. It got worse by the end of the week where she had to eat painkillers to lessen the pain on the bruises on the back of her body and was limping to her class. But she braved it, kept her tears at bay, faked a smile when any of her members called and only cried and let her sadness crept in when she's alone.

She thought of not returning back to school on Monday but she didn't want to give her bullies the satisfaction. Instead she put on the make up to cover the black bags under her eyes and walked into school heads up high. But as soon as she walked into the hallway, she heard someone shout while running towards her. Before she could brace herself, the body slammed onto her back hard making her stumbled onto the floor and scraped her knees.

She turned around and there was Kai, holding the football in his hands as he gestured toward his fellow teammates.

"Well shit..you are so clumsy. Why are you in our way?" He and his teammates laughed as they walked away. There was a continuing laughter in the hall from the other students as if she was providing them wtih entertainment for the day. She slowly picked herself up and winced in pain when she felt the pain on her knees. As she limped towards her locker, she was not surprised to see CL and her posse again waiting.

"Well well well. The rebellious girl did return to school after all. I guess we need to trumped up our effort huh?" She threatened.

Jennie really had enough. "What is your problem!" Jennie suddenly shouted at her.

"I've been nothing but nice to you since I'm transferred here and I did not bother anyone! But you! You are the one that keeps on bothering me!!! What is it that you want!!!"

CL walked forward signaling her posse. The other two walked behind Jennie holding her arms tight onto her side before CL punched her a few times on her stomach.

"You see bitch, I don't like it when your family just come over here and force my dad to sell my favorite boutique just because you want it!" She slapped Jennie hard on her face.

"I hate it when my dad keeps saying Mr Kim's daughter is much better than me! Or maybe I just really hate your face!" She said as she pulled and yanked Jennie's hair backwards and spat on her face. Her posse laughed before they pushed her onto the floor.

The other students just walked by Jennie's slumped figure on the floor not batting an eyelash. They either don't bother or are just too afraid to say anything. Jennie tried to take a deep breath to steady herself. She tried to push herself up but the dizzying spell made her slumped back onto the floor. She braced for impact when she suddenly felt someone caught her from behind. She struggled to be released as that person started to pick her up into her arms.

"Nini..stopped. You'll be hurt."

She stopped struggling and calmed down as she smelled the familiar comforting scents.

"Lili.." She whispered out before she lost consciousness.
