Giselle rushed towards her best friend, as she just felt a sudden impulse and hugged Jimin tightly, feeling happy to see her there. She held her shoulders, smiling happily.

"You're beautiful, do you know that?"

Jimin breathed out a soft smile and shook her head.

"It's been a while since anyone has said that to me."

Giselle's eyes shone with so much heartfelt emotion. After all those years of self-reclusement and hiding her true personality, her inner beauty had finally combined with her outer beauty and she looked more than stunning.

Of course, her feelings hadn't changed at all. Yet, she had won some confidence to, at least, compose herself for the long and busy night that was coming ahead.

"Oh, my lovely daughter~!"

Jimin gave a look at Giselle, looking quite uncomfortable, just before she turned around and saw her father coming with three businessmen whom she recognized as his old friends trailing closely behind him.

"Father," She said, bowing lightly in respect.

Her father went to her side and sneaked a hand on her waist; it was honestly pissing her off but she knew she had to fake they had that 'beautiful father and daughter' relationship.

On the other hand, Minjeong had been the last person to hold her like that and, to say the least, that made her feel immensely nostalgic.

He knew he was making his daughter super uncomfortable, but he could care less. What was important was business.

"Oh, Mr. Yu. I have to say your daughter is stunningly beautiful," The other man said, smiling, "She would be a perfect match for my son."

Jimin smiled sympathetically at the man.

"Sir, I'm-"

"Of course yes! Tell him to come to my home tomorrow morning."

Jimin looked at her father instantly, feeling her blood burn with anger. There he was, trying to solve her life by himself once again. Just like he had always tried to.

"Are you sure?" The man looked at Jimin, "Ms. Yu?"

Jimin looked at the man and smiled softly, giving out a forced smile.

"Of course. I'm pretty sure your son is having a great party."

"Okay then," Her father announced enthusiastically, "I'm still waiting for grandkids. It would be a huge happiness for me if she gave me one."

Jimin looked away, trying to hide her hatred for his words. She just wanted to tell that man that she'd given birth to a baby boy years before, but her father rejected it.

"I'm not ready yet, father."

Giselle's eyes widened as she looked at her friend.

"I don't even know what it is like to be pregnant, and I'm seriously scared of childbirth. I can't imagine myself battling with constant pain for eight hours straight. I've heard scary stories about morning sickness as well. And that folic acid thing...It has to be taken every single day. And then there's the fact that you should be careful of who you have the baby with. In case my father didn't like the baby's father and he rejected both father and baby...Then he wouldn't even have the guts to step inside of the hospital because he would be disgusted, am I not right?" She whispered, looking straight at her father.

"I really doubt Mr. Yu would ever act like that," The man said, laughing. Jimin smiled hurtfully and stared at her father for a second, before looking back at the man in front of her.
