Bronya and Sirin ventured into the mall with the intention of shopping for games. As they made their way to the gaming section, their eyes lit up with excitement at the sight of various consoles, accessories, and the latest releases. Bronya's attention was quickly drawn to a VR headset displayed on one of the shelves.
She couldn't help but reminisce about the time she had accidentally immersed herself in a game due to a water accident with her VR headset. The memory brought a slight smile to her face. Bronya turned to Sirin, who was engrossed in browsing through the game selection, and gently poked her shoulder to get her attention.
"Sirin, buy the VR headset," Bronya suggested, her voice carrying a hint of playfulness.
Sirin was taken aback by the unexpected request but was intrigued by the idea. "Oh! Umm, sure?" she replied, her curiosity piqued. Without hesitation, Sirin purchased the VR headset, excited about the new gaming experience that awaited her.
Bronya then led Sirin to her dorm room at St. Freya Academy. It was a quiet and cozy space where Bronya often retreated to relax and enjoy her gaming sessions. With the VR headset in hand, they settled in and prepared themselves for an immersive gaming adventure.
Their game of choice? Minecraft.
Bronya led Sirin into her dorm room, and as they entered, Mei, who had been cooking, turned her attention towards them. Confusion and surprise were evident on her face as she questioned Bronya about Sirin's identity.
"Hm? Bronya? Who is she?" Mei asked, tilting her head.
Bronya introduced Sirin, saying, "She is Sirin, Kiana's older sister."
Mei stopped cooking, her jaw dropping in disbelief. She glanced at Sirin's petite frame, her childlike appearance contrasting with her supposed status as Kiana's older sister. Mei struggled to comprehend the situation—Sirin seemed younger and shorter than both Bronya and Kiana.
Stuttering, Mei waved and tried to regain her composure as she greeted Sirin. "Um, hello, Sirin-san," she said, pausing before looking back at her with puzzled eyes.
Mei's thoughts raced, questioning how Sirin could be Kiana's sister with such different physical features. Could she be a biological daughter of one of the parents? Mei couldn't help but wonder. She stumbled through her words, attempting to voice her thoughts, but Sirin cut her off with a deadpan expression.
"I'm adopted," Sirin stated plainly, providing an explanation that dispelled Mei's suspicions. Mei simply replied with an "Okay" and went back to her cooking, trying to put the puzzle pieces together in her mind.
Meanwhile, Sirin smiled and nodded in acknowledgment. Just as Mei returned to her cooking, Kiana entered the dorm and caught sight of her older sister. She froze in place, stunned by the unexpected presence of Sirin, and blurted out, "Sirin nee-chan!?"
Sirin returned the greeting with a casual "Yo, Kiana-san," further adding to Kiana's astonishment.
Stuttering and struggling to comprehend the situation, Kiana exclaimed, "But... Huh!?!" Her mind raced with questions, trying to make sense of it all.
Sirin sighed, understanding Kiana's confusion, and turned to Bronya, asking, "Bronya, do you have the game?"
Bronya responded with a smiling Fomu face expression and a thumbs-up, indicating that she had indeed prepared the game. She gestured for Sirin to follow her, leading her into her room.
As Kiana remained in a state of bewilderment over her introverted sister's sudden appearance, she couldn't help but feel that there was still so much she didn't know.
Bronya led Sirin into her room, filled with an array of gaming equipment. Sirin's eyes lit up at the sight of the cool gadgets, but she quickly refocused her attention on the VR headgear she had just purchased.
"So, what game are we playing?" Sirin asked eagerly.
Bronya couldn't help but smuggle slightly as she retrieved her own VR headgear and revealed the game of choice—Minecraft.
Sirin tilted her head in confusion. "Huh? I've never heard of that game before."
Bronya spoke in her usual monotone voice, a slight smile gracing her lips. "Oh, you will love it, Sirin-sama."
Smuggling slightly with bored eyes, Bronya instructed, "Put the headgear on and turn it on."
Sirin followed the instructions, putting on the headgear and activating it. She was about to ask another question when she was suddenly splashed with water, causing her to gasp in surprise.
The circuits of the headgear went haywire, crackling with static electricity. Sirin was knocked unconscious, and a similar fate befell Bronya as she put on her own headgear and splashed herself with water.
A few minutes later, Sirin regained consciousness, blinking in astonishment at her surroundings. Everything around her had transformed into a 3D world of cubes.
"Wha?! What?!" Sirin exclaimed, scrambling to her feet. She noticed that she, too, had become a cube and panicked, calling out, "Bronya!"
Bronya calmly patted Sirin's shoulder, her expression unchanged. "Yo, Sirin-sama."
Sirin squeaked in panic, demanding answers. "Gah!? Bronya! What the hell is this? Everything is a cube! The forest is cube! The animals—pigs, sheep, cows—they're all cubes! Even the sun is a cube!"
Bronya smirked slightly with her bored eyes and extended her arms, gesturing to the grassy, cube-filled plain around them. "Welcome to Minecraft," she declared.
And so, the chapter ended, leaving Sirin bewildered and Bronya ready to guide her through the pixelated world of creativity and adventure.
